I think the best sign of this is when Sky is talking about how her sister inspires her and what Sky wants to do when she's older, all Dave can think about is asking her out. He tuned out a chance to get to know her better, because he wants to be with her. But nothing in the show proves he actually likes her personality. Any time she shows a bit of herself in some way to him, whether it be being honest about how she feels about him, her passions, or even just what she wants to do; he tunes her out or talks over her. Key example, when she points out a strategy for the first challenge of the season he gushes about how much he already likes her by shouting over her and making her stop talking. When she snapped at him in the episode where they eat the expired food, he totally deserved it. He came on way too strong and never let her talk. Communication is important in a relationship, even friendship. And then he snaps in the finale because he still thought he had a shot and instead of letting her explain the Keith thing, he just ignored her and let his emotions permanently ruin whatever bit of a relationship with her he had left. Dave is an incredibly unhealthy individual. At no point in the season did I think they were an actual romantic item; I'd buy Max and Scarlet before I buy Sky and Dave. I thought when I started the season that Sky and Dave, like Rodney and any girl ever, was the writer's way of poking fun at bad pairings within the fandom.

Shawn may be super terrified of zombies, but at least he's willing to confront that for Jasmine and the others. Dave has a panic attack and begs others to help him. He also just decides to possibly kill Sky and Shawn because he jumped to conclusions. I don't see how people don't see how disturbing it is that he votes himself out just because Sky is honest with him.

+TheOman1997 No it's not. It's more realistic. Yes, this is a cartoon, but if they made EVERY pairing that had a mutual attraction canon the show would become very predictable. Plus the whole idea of Sky and Dave teaches a valuable lesson: communication is key in a relationship. Listening to what the other has to say rather than ignoring the "but" is important.

Eric Leatherman While I did like them, when I saw the way Dave was acting after Sky tried to turn him down earlier, I stopped. He became very possessive of a girl who didn't want to be with him. It was his fault that she turned him down.

Dave treated Sky like a prize he was going to win. He didn't Help her because he was nice, he helped her because he thought she'd love him back. And Sky already had a boyfriend. Dave was being super clingy and he can't take a hint that she didn't want to be with him. DAVE EVEN TRIED TO HURT SKY BECAUSE SHE DIDNT WANT TO BE WITH HIM. That's not a kind attitude! That's not the attitude of a person who should be with Sky. Dave can't take a hint, and if Sky had rejected him any nicer he would've just taken a hint even less.
