So many of my jazz heroes are gone and I'm 81. Makes wonder sometimes. I bought Take 5 when it came out in the 50's and learned a lot about drumming by playing along. I believe they are all gone now, Dave Brubeck, Paul Desmond, Joe Morello and Gene Wright. How many of you knew them name of the bassist?;)

I went mad thinking that David Brubeck had composed it and then I realize that the keyboardist of Stranglers did it based on Take Five of David Brubeck. This video is like the scene from "The Highlander" when she says to him that the existence of a certain sword is like finding a Boeing 747 200 years before the birth of Wright Brothers.

One of the very, very few times when a deep fake can be deemed acceptable. (The video is actually Brubeck's Quartet playing, of all things, Take Five.) The sax has a dreamy quality that carries you away. Love it.
