Dave is out High Bird shooting at Warter Priory Estate on a wintery day. We head back into the kitchen to take a look how they use they game shot on the estate to create delicious food for the shooter. In the film we have one of Dave's good friends Allan Carr, who he had coached for a couple of months previous to this day. Even with the pressure of the camera on him, he shoots some incredible birds.

Love the fact you showed that you pricked a bird and explained to all the people who don't understand our sport what happens next, when it could of quite easily been edited out. You gave a true representation of a day. Well done Dave. Keep up the good work.

Tonight was the worst night of my life. The woman I thought I’d spend my whole life with, a person who not long ago professed her “love” to me, decided to tell me that wasn’t true and that she didn’t see a future for us. Ive been completely crushed, but your videos took my mind off of it for a short time. Not too long, but thank you for that.

Another great video Dave! Nice to see someone talk about the guns ethics and etiquette for their quarry. Interesting to see the leads on some of those birds pushing shot way out in front. Well done mate

Dave Carrie Shooting Rushmore estate near Salisbury is a match for warter. Run by Jamie Lee. Otherwise more towards London you have Facombe estate, Matterly bowl, and then into Sussex Cocking shoot, Springheads, Petworth etc..

Cracking video Dave, some of those birds ,the delay between shooting and the shot killing the bird gave a great insight to an experienced shot the distance they were killed at .As you say at least 60 to 80yrds and the vast majority were stone dead !...modern cartridges very good shooting with the right gun supports this ethical and challenging sport !. PS.keep plenty of lead going up those barrels HaHa. Regards.

some great shooting, i have a question though, on birds going over the right shoulder Alan tends to drop his right shoulder instead of his left, is that the method you teach? Everyone seems to approach this type of shot differently and it is certainly harder than the bird going over the left shoulder! Keep up the great videos!

some times if spotted soon enough a bird will be seen curling down and to the right or left, this is the only time i will advise doing this! drop on the shoulder in the direction the bird is going -if wings are set he is inevitably gliding down, this builds a lead for dropping birds that are moving left or right

Dave , great stuff as usual .... but i was just thinking if you really want to push this channel on a bit , you should start to use the words , Amazing , Incredible , Fabulous, Fantastic, and .410 a fare bit more . if you know what i mean . ;)
