Dave Grohl's biggest inspirations are his three daughters, Violet, Harper and Ophelia. To say he has a great relationship with his kids is selling it short, and he already has a foolproof plan if one of them brings home a musician one day. It’s a win win because, if the boyfriend takes the contract that means Dave’s daughter dodged a bullet, but if the boyfriend doesn’t that mean he must genuinely love the daughter.

I think that Dave will use this tactic just for a test...if her boyfriend refuses Dave's offer and loves her for real, Dave would still give him the contract, because he is a real man to his daughter and deserves the contract more in this case

What I love about Kelly is that she has guests on her show that you wouldn’t necessarily expect. Like.. she’s not just having mainstream pop stars on her show, she has EVERYBODY on her show- including icon Dave grohl! She also had evanescence on her show not too long ago which is my ALL TIME favorite band!!! Keep doing what you’re doing Kelly! Maybe even take Amy Lee on your show again for an interview!!

Dave would absolutely love this story! My Uncle Charlie was the sweetest old country Baptist minister & he told his daughter (in like 1975) she could NOT date any guy with a motorcycle or a van. The FIRST guy she dated, showed up in a van with a motorcycle in back. He ended up being around for about 3 years.

I think if Dave's daughter were to date a musician, that he would "just know" how to get into their head, and find out what they are all about, and that would let him know if the guy or even girl for that matter is just interested in his kid because her dad is Dave Grohl, OR if they really love his daughter or son IF he has a son. I THINK he has 3 daughters, but I am not sure. Anyway, Dave seems to have good sense about things in life.

As a fellow North Texan.. the moment I heard her Burleson Texas accent come out I smiled. And yes. That is something pick up truck drivers think. "If I get into an accident they're goin' down, *not me* !" Also, there's truth to feeling like you "need" a pick up truck. Especially around here. Out door activities are a real thing. Whether it's the need to take your BBQ grill camping with you. Or picking up gardening supplies consistently ie; stones, dirt, plants, edging, etc... a truck helps. I know my crossover was completely loaded down the last time I went to Lowes. I had to drive *so* slowly!! If only my husband had been off work with his pick up truck ! 😊😊

I like the car the daughter choose but it likely would break down and what about car parts? 64 impala, that could be hard to come by. My son who will be 16 in 2 weeks recently was picking out what car I should get him, he stated 2 I couldn't even afford for myself. I'm not a rock star. I'm a middle class widowed mom. His line: I think it would be nice for Dad, if from heaven he could watch his son drive a car like he dreamed of. Really great attempt but Dad understands he didn't have enough life insurance and will be so proud watching his son work and save for his first used car. I will buy you good safe new tires for the car you buy, and an air freshener in Dad's favorite scent though.
