Howard didnt understand what Dave was saying at all. He was saying they made music by soley jamming together. Instead of discussing the song, they jammed it out to figure it out. It's hard to understand for non-music people.
@antoniodal3 ай бұрын
Yeah but you can't avoid the moment, even rare, when a band actually discuss the structure-content of the song. As an interviewer i would be interested if kurt was open to changes and suggestions or was just the indiscussed leader who didn't let others touch his stuff. That doesn't make him an ahole, if i was a poet i'd prefer to keep my stuff organic and coming from a unique source, just to keep art true to the core more than a product that has to be liked

I will say in recent years he’s really mellowed out, but as the person above said there just happened to be enough of a fan base looking for his type of show. Which I can see why someone would like certain aspects of him, he’s very crude speaks over guests and only asks questions to hear himself speak. But he also didn’t hold any punches so people appreciated his “honesty” also his coverage of 911 really helped too I’d wager.

@TheBLGL20 күн бұрын
That was in Seattle, when they were in Aberdeen, they only had one drummer. But, yes, Stern acting like drummer’s aren’t the biggest d*cks in bands because they know they are hard to come by is ridiculous. Drummers tend to be the prima donnas because they know they are hard to replace, cause not everyone can afford a kit and a place to practice with said kit to learn to play. Much easier and cheaper to learn the bass, guitar, or vocals (though, let’s be honest, most people - Cobain included - don’t realize you actually need to learn to sing, or even scream, which is why Melissa Cross has made a whole career out of training metal vocalists).
