Disappointed he said this. I am not a Taylor fan, don't really know her music at all. What I can comment on is my Brother lives beside Murrayfield, Edinburgh, Scotland, and the buzz and amount of visitors from different countries created a huge rise in income for local businesses. She was definitely playing live. The madness she created was phenomenal. I have never seen such a buzz about a concert. She deserves good wishes sent her way as she creates an amazing rise in economy everywhere she visits. Well done Miss Taylor. I would say jealousy is a difficult emotion.

TS plays & moves in concert 3-3 1/2 hours. She exercises in order to provide an excellent performance. I have always liked Dave but jealousy is just horrible!

As for the flying everywhere, remember she does have too much stuff, backup, traveling entourage- she’s not a little old country band. In addition she pays 2-3 times the carbon offset credits for her planes, trains, and other modes of transportation (voluntarily). When she comes to a town or country she is very generous with adding income to the community and almost always donates to local causes, the community, & to food banks. She’s very generous & whatever beef he has with her, he should have never lowered himself to “hate” on another artist. By the way - not a fan of hers but watched a video of a 3 + hour concert she did with my daughters and she worked her butt off! She works hard for her craft. It’s just a different genre music than his.

A bad call by Grohl as he must know how the tabloid press will play this out. I'm more a classic rock person, but we loved her in England. She was very generous donating to food banks . And apparently she was a big boost particularly to the London economy. When she did her three nights at Wembley. Good luck to her.

Taylor fans already call her tour the errors tour. So it’s not anything clever that he said. It’s the insinuating that she doesn’t play live that’s probably hurtful to her. Cause she plays live and does so many many nights. So idk what’s up his but. And I’m thankful she flys private. Can you even imagine her trying to fly with everyone else and how much of a hassle it would be to all the other flyers. It would be annoying.

Flights would not be more delayed because a celebrity is flying commercial but it would be risky for them and also with tours and worldwide the jet is easier and we would use one if we had the change. Now seeing the flights of 10minutes yup she could go on a car with a driver for that

In the late 70’s early 80’s the high ticket $7-10$. It was an awesome time. I got to see everyone that came around. Nobody in the world is worth what the ticket prices they charge now.

Andy, Bruce Springsteen, prior to age 69, did 4 hour shows no breaks for decades . In his 70’s he’s cut it to 3 Hours plus. Yes it’s not every day, but neither is either of these bands. I think it’s a joke that either are competing with each other.

Quick correction: Prior to the start of the Eras Tour, Taylor's company bought double the carbon credits estimated for the tour. They knew going in that she and her crew were going to be traveling a lot and took a perfectly responsible route to minimize the footprint. People criticizing the travel either don't know this (they should do their research before criticizing), or want to take a swipe at someone.

I am with you. Dave is known to be one of the nicest and down to earth, regular guy musicians. He has a sense of humor and can laugh at himself. I am surprised that he did not recognize that Taylor went to play to help him out but, then he was stoned and the mind is not working quite right. Either way, no excuse for trashing Taylor. Trash a friendship. All she did was feel bad so she went up to help him out. That is so sad and I am really disappointed in Dave. He is one of my favorite musicians today. He plays rock. He is one of the best out there today. He is fun. He's. a decent guy. C'mon Dave. Admit you were being petty and a horses butt and apologize.

Sorry, Taylor does more on the stage than just hold her instrument in one place and sing for an hour or two. She always has a live band, and they play really well. It makes me appreciate bands even more. Dave shouldn't have said what he said even if Swifties were attacking his daughter, those Swifties can be hateful, but who cares if she travels by private jets? I would, too, if I had the money and being bombarded with fans. And she can't drive all the time cross county. I'm sure if Dave's daughter has that many concerts in just a few days between them, she wouldn't be taking a car, nor a commercial airline if she was at Taylor's fame. Don't try to come after Taylor and her fans won't come after you. Like the saying goes, "If you have nothing nice to say, don't say it all." 😂

Swift was at Wembley Stadium, performing to approximately 89,000 fans each of three consecutive nights, at the peak of her career, in front of Prince William, Paul McCartney, Jon Bon Jovi, etc. the highest grossing tour ever in history in any genre. Grohl was at a distant, lesser stadium with a respectable 50,000 fans. Dave Grohl spoke in a very nasty, seemingly jealous way about a fellow female performer. It was unsupportive, ugly, and beneath him, imo. And this comes from a person who has been a Nirvana, FooFighters, Dave Grohl fan over the last 30 years. My main preference in music is Blues Rock. Dave and Taylor have always gotten along before so wtf? From your comment I can additionally deduce, my dear Watson, that you are one of the ignoramuses who comment on Swift’s book without ever having taken a deep dive into her compositions, her lyricism, her storytelling, her lore. I agree, it was just a joke that backfired. So many people are quick to assume the worst, and to immediately take offense. I basically said the same thing in the comments, and I've already got people responding to my comment saying "It wasn't a joke to insinuate lip sync!" and "Don't tell people what to do!" (I disagree, and I wasn't trying to tell people what to do so much as talk about a lack of perspective). Some people don't actually try to act in good faith to understand what you're saying or where you're coming from. And they often don't see the error in believing that they are the only ones who have a valid take. Sometimes having a conversation isn't about who's right, or who "won"- it's about understanding another person's perspective. 🙂 I guess this is one of those times where you just have to say , "Oh well, I tried." 🤷‍♀

Love Dave and he's an amazing performer but that was unnecessary and rude to take that swipe at her, especially on something that holds no merit. It was a troll job people, Swiftes have been harassing Dave's Daughter online since January after she gave her opinion in a Q and A on Instagram about the amount Jet Fuel swift uses for her private jets, this lead some pretty disturbing death and sexual threats being throw at Dave Daughter so before we make Dave out to be the bad guy here can we at least do our research before reacting to this

I think people should be labeled musicians or entertainers. Swift an entertainer, Grohl a musician. They shouldn’t be compared. However they shouldn’t be equal either. The fans and the Grammys need to understand that. A musician who preforms live vocals and instruments every night doesn't want to be compared to someone who dances and lip syncs with a live band. Amy Winehouse was a musician but Taylor doesn't write that deep. I am a Swift fan but I also recognize that she's a surface level poet with some bops. It's not the same and it shouldn’t be compared.

It WAS a confusing slam. Perhaps Dave was too stoned to make a coherent one? I get being upset by his daughter’s treatment, but talk about that. Don’t try to say that your band has a better claim to Eras OR errors in its career, or that Taylor and her band don’t perform live.

When I first heard about this, my first thought is that since they both were playing in London at the same time and Taylor was playing at Wembley Stadium for 3 nights and the Foo ended up at London Stadium. To rub salt in the wound, Paul McCartney went to Taylor's show instead of the Foos show. Some speculate that it has to do with Swifties going after his daughter Violet after she posted a negative comment about Taylor on social media. While I don't condone attacking an individual for a social media post, but come on...what did his daughter think was going to happen. She was 17 at the time of the post, so she was old enough to understand the consequences of her actions. If you want to post negative comments about a celebrity be prepared to handle the backlash of their fandom. Doesn't make it right for that fandom to retaliate, but that is the world we live in today. Also, given that her father is a famous celebrity as well, it was kind of the pot calling the kettle black.
