Dave Mirra's King of the Animal House

Four years ago, the BMX world lost one of the best to ever do it - Dave Mirra.
As we look back over Dave's incredible career, the highlights seem endless. One of Dave's final contributions to the BMX world was King of the Animal House - a contest he created, organized, and hosted at his private skatepark in North Carolina. The event saw sixteen of the best riders in the world - handpicked by Dave himself - battle it out for a brand new Subaru WRX. Mirra: lost, missed, but never forgotten. His suicide really affected me personally, so thanks for putting this up to commemorate him. Mirra was BMX and BMX is for life! Cheers!

Dave is the man why we all picked up a bmx becouse we all played his bmx games and watched him on x games and props bmx videos when we was younger he's is bmx in my eyes His suicide really affected me personally could not beleve it at first i was like no this BS then i found out it was true my hart sunk and i cryed those ramps are in Daniel Dhers Action Sports Complex now if you want to ride them. Dave's a legend and will never be forgotten im typing this with tears in my eyes

This is an insane throw back 🔥🔥 spotting riders I wasn't quite sure how long they've been at the top of their riding, seeing enarson, webbie, nyquist, main and even dhers it's nuts to think how long they've been doing it!

Dave was and still is one of the all time greats! It’s one thing going to a normal competition but being hand chosen by Dave himself to come and ride his competition must have been insane

Bmx was so much better in this era. Every rider had his own style, doing their own thing. Now you look at a contest and its all about 360 tripple whips and how many bars you can pull in a minute

Its only me?? Or since Dave died bmx its like kinda dying too? I meant, xgames courses r smaller every year, and simple session course were on a basement basically wtf :( ??
