A joke i think Jon will love: Dave was bragging to his boss one day, “You know, I know everyone there is to know. Just name someone, anyone, and I know them.” Tired of his boasting, his boss calls his bluff, “Okay Dave, how about Tom Cruise?” “No dramas boss, Tom and I are old friends, and I can prove it.” So Dave and his boss fly to Hollywood and knock on Tom Cruise’s door. Tom Cruise shouts, “Dave! What’s happening? Great to see you! Come on in for a beer!” Although impressed, Dave’s boss is still sceptical. After they leave Cruise’s house, he tells Dave that he thinks him knowing Cruise was just lucky. “No, no, just name anyone else,” Dave says. “The US President,” his boss quickly retorts. “Yup,” Dave says, “Old buddies. Let’s fly to Washington.” And off they go. At the White House, the President spots Dave on the tour and motions him and his boss over, saying, “Dave, what a surprise, I was just on my way to a meeting, but you and your friend come on in and let’s have a beer first and catch up.” Well, the boss is very shaken by now but still not totally convinced. After they leave the White House grounds he expresses his doubts to Dave, who again implores him to name anyone else. “The Pope!” his boss replies. “Sure!” says Dave. “I’ve known the Pope for years.” So off they fly to Rome. Dave and his boss are assembled with the masses at the Vatican’s St. Peter’s Square when Dave says, “This will never work. I can’t catch the Pope’s eye among all these people. Tell you what, I know all the guards, so let me just go upstairs and I’ll come out on the balcony with the Pope.” He disappears into the crowd, headed towards the Vatican. Sure enough, half an hour later, Dave emerges with the Pope on the balcony. By the time Dave returns, he finds that his boss has had a heart attack and is surrounded by paramedics. Making his way to his boss’ side, Dave asks him, “What happened?” His boss looks up and says, “It was the final straw… you and the Pope came out on to the balcony and the man next to me said, ‘Who is that on the balcony with Dave?'”

Both Dave the guy and Dave the game are life goals. If they can achieve great successes with their go-get attitudes, you can too!

Hey Jon, one small tip for the resturant. There's a way to choose the menu then set it to be "on demand" so it only makes the needed food and doesn't waste your fish. It was a fun video, glad you enjoyed yourself.

Guns actually do work underwater, just not the same as out of the water. Interestingly the soviets actually created guns specifically designed to work underwater and issued them out to specialist soldiers.

There are underwater guns and ammunition. Mostly just avoiding the whole thing of fire in firearm, and making the bullets thinner to better slide through dense water.

Happy to sea being under water is no barrier to moseying

The Koreans are really stepping up their game these days. This game, Lies of P, Lobocorp and their new roguelike, it's like they're finally putting their experience from decades of churning out MMORPGs to good use and making genuinely fun and beautiful titles.

This needs at least a livestream, maybe even a series. ****SPOILERS**** Jon hasn't touched the rhythm game, the farming, the stealth sections, the boss fights, zombies, teleportation, smithing, gambling, caulk gun use, horseracing, boat driving, welding, mirror puzzles, sliding block puzzles, tamagochi, grenade launchers, power armour or anime girl platforming parts of this game yet. For those who haven't played, guess which of the above things don't actually appear in the game.

As far as whether guns work underwater, I believe modern firearms and bullets are designed to keep the powder dry even underwater, so they'd theoretically be able to be fired... But Mythbusters actually tested firing guns into water and proved that standing water is really good at slowing bullets, so even if the bullet could escape the muzzle, the gun would have an effective range of about one foot before the shot slowed too much to do any damage...

Is it me, or is this game a "whatever you want it to be in a limited capacity, but it can be anything else when you get bored of that" sort of game? Combat game against dangerous sea creatures? Check. Collectible game? Check. Restaurant Sim? Check. Crafting game? Between the gun mods and the menu upgrades, check. Laid back swimming game? Check.

This game is so weird and fun and cute and relaxing and cool.

Overall, even a regular gun will work underwater. However, it will wear down much faster (lubricant being diluted, mechanisms not rustproof, increased barrel pressure from having to push all that water away), jam frequently (water slowing down all moving parts) and with a range of only a meter or so (water is heavy) There are guns specially designed for military divers, naturally. They fire thin needle-like projectiles that have much better range (still not that much, but still better) and everything is teflon-coated so it won't need lubrication.

Dolphins aren't total monsters. The reasons dolphin reputation has tanked isn't because of dolphin behavior in general, but because of rowdy bachelors and literal dolphin gangs. It's like saying humanity as a whole is terrible because of the same reasons.

Fun fact: The real world equivalent of this "underwater gun" is actually called the APS underwater rifle developed by the soviet union in the '70s to defend against the "frogman" threat. It is essentially a more effective harpoon gun, shooting 5.66mm bolts, resulting in increased penetration power, capable of piecing metal dive suits. It is also gas powered, allowing it to launch said bolts up to 30m when underwater.

Please to be not constantly showing games that I want to buy. I have THREE brand new, 200+ hour games coming out in the next 60 days, I do NOT have time or money for buying more amazing looking games. Also, brag, I hit the 1000th mark on upvote. Does that matter, of course not, but it made me happy.

As a SCUBA diving instructor I can't help but find this game hilarious. Casually diving to 40m and fighting off fish as well as harpooning and catching fish, reeling them in, and carrying them, is so unrealistic 😅 40m is a serious depth, and not one from which you can come straight up to the surface from. You'd have to spend a lot of time doing decompression stops at various shallower intervals. Not to mention the glaring error that it's you would never breathe pure Oxygen at depth - it would literally kill you (due to Oxygen Toxicity). Instead, you breathe air (approx. 21% Oxygen and 79% Nitrogen), or a different Nitrox mix (e.g. 36% Oxygen, 64% Nitrogen). Your gas consumption should also increase with increasing depth. Nevertheless, despite this game being totally wholly ludicrously inaccurate regarding actual SCUBA diving, it looks fun and John as always made it entertaining to watch!
