People should appreciate Jae more. I never see someone who's passionate about their work like him. He loves his job, his band and eventhough he could be a successful solo artist under 88rising, he stays with Day6. Day6 made him what he is today and for that we can see how grateful he is. Jae tries to break the idol stereotype but all he get was hate when he should be praised for being brave. The term idol should be revised so that people realize that no one is perfect. This is why I really don't like the perfect idol concept because in general it only aims to make money. The world of entertainment is not as beautiful as it is imagined, but the changes must occur bc the entertainment industry is actually a place to show talents and support each other related to art.

he’s so honest and mature, there’s really no reason why people throw this much hate on him.

I love day6 for their imperfections, it just shows that they’re only human being, just like the rest of us. Just five different boys that has the same goals towards music, and are doing what they like- making music. Each songs from their albums has different colors to it yet they all sounds ‘DAY6’ to me, and not one single song is bad. And it shows how they are improving every time they drop a new album. I’m reaaaally looking forward to the new album!

Hearing Jae talk about his anxiety disorder and panic attacks makes me feel really emotional because I have the same problems (anxiety disorders, panic attacks, carrying my medicine around just in case I get an attack in public, having to deal with family who don't understand and tell me to "get over it"). I can now openly admit that I have these mental health problems, but it wasn't easy until I was ready to admit it to myself that I was not okay. My family has also started to be more understanding after witnessing one of my attacks and realizing I wasn't being dramatic about being unable to drive or sit in class. The lesson I really learned was just that it's okay to admit you aren't okay. It's valid to feel what you feel during a panic attack or anxiety attack. It's not shameful to seek help and keep pushing until you are heard. On a positive note, I made it through college and have a great job now despite graduating later than my high school peers did most likely. It took me 6 years to get through a 4 year program, but the only thing that matters is that I made it.

제형인 진짜 내가 생각한 것 보다 더 여린사람인데 속이 단단하고 깊은 사람인 것 같다,,,제형이가 잔잔하게 항상 행복하길 바랄 뿐이야,,,,,, 제형아 몸도 마음도 건강해질 때 다시 만나자 보채지않고 기다릴게 함께 할 시간은 더 많으니 천천히 오래 같이 걸어가자.

I was diagnosed with depression at 9 years old and growing up people just told me to be happy. My friends didn't understand it and most of the time their parents didn't either. It was hard growing up thinking there is something wrong with me and makes me feel less lonely or defective when idols and celebrities talk about their mental health issues openly instead of hiding them because everyone is human. I wish it was like that when I was younger but now at 20 years old I'm still incredibly thankful for the reminder that we all are humans and no one has a perfect life.

"Everyone is imperfect, no one is perfect. And that's just the sad reality of it. And i'm sure that's going to break a lot of people's hearts." ABSOLUTELY RIGHT SIR

I agree with Jae when it comes to that “idol mentality.” We look up to them to be “perfect” but at the same time I like it when idols show their vulnerability because it shows us they’re human and it shows us that we can relate to them. I’ve struggled with my anxiety and adhd my entire life and seeing idols who also struggle with the same things as me makes me look up to them even more as a person and as someone who can relate to the same things as me.

That was such a good interview. I think this is why Jae is my bias of biases, because he is so relatable and acts genuine. He doesn't conform to the "perfect idol" image his haters want him to adopt. In fact, I'm glad I've never seen hate comments because I might throw a brick wall at them if I did.

Jae is such a best friend material. I love him with all my heart.
