"From then on, I'd listen to conference talks, I'd been studying the Bible and just trying to sort everything out. All these bombs would be going off in my heart -- where everything that I'd learned for 47 years just melted seamlessly into the restoration. It's just the most amazing thing, beyond human understanding as far as I'm concerned. It's like a class triple A miracle!
I haven't even scratched the surface of the vastness of the Restoration! As soon as I really humbled myself it just began to open up to me. It still took me another two months after that before faith completely came to me and I heard powerfully and definitively in my heart that the Book of Mormon is the Word of God and that Joseph Smith truly was a prophet of God."

David, of course you're gonna see miracles from Mormonism. You think the Devil is going to come at you looking like a monster!? No.. He's coming at you looking like an angel of light. II CORINTHIANS 11:14-15 "And no wonder! For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also transform themselves into ministers of righteousness, whose end will be according to their works..."

God loves you and wants a relationship with you. John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he sent his only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life. Jesus came as the Son of God and gave his life for you. ♥ Jesus Christ loves you so much that he came as God in human flesh and died on the cross for your sins and rose on the 3rd day defeating death. Turn from sin to the one who can forgive you and give you a new heart, new desires and peace. All who repent greek word metanoeo meaning change ones mind from believing in what you believe in to believing in Jesus Christ death, burial and resurrection will be saved. Realise you are not a good person and have sinned against a Holy and just God. Gods standard for good is perfection which we cant be perfect because of sin and we can't die for our own sins. There needs to be a Holy, perfect sacrifice to take your place and be the atonement for your sin who is Jesus Christ. Turn to him cry out to Jesus Christ to forgive you of your sins confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead and you will be saved. For the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord. If you have hated someone Jesus said you have committed murder in your heart. Jesus said if you lust after someone sexually you committed adultery in your heart. To know to do right and do wrong is sin. Lying, stealing, using God's name in vein, unmarried sex, getting drink, getting high, etc. God's standards are alot higher than ours. We have to go by his standards. We all deserve to die and go to Hell but God loves us enough to send his son Jesus Christ to die for our sins. We cant say we dont deserve it or that we are good. It would be like going to a judge and commiting a crime and telling him all the good things we have done in life. He would say it doesnt matter you still did the crime. That is why Jesus paid for our wages so we can be set free. Put your trust in Jesus Christ like you would a parachute and you will be saved. God's grace is unmerited favor and is given to all who accept the free gift of eternal salvation. Turn from your sinful life to Jesus Christ before its to late. Eternity is to long to be wrong. I love you and Jesus can make your life better and give you joy, peace and love. ♥ @@AlbertJLouie

My parents were all-natural hippies (no drugs, all organic foods), who marched with Martin Luther King in 1966 when they were pregnant with me. Mom had gone to Catholic school, dad was “The Christian” denomination. When the 6th set of Mormon missionaries knocked on their door in 1974 they were ready, because of the example of my dad’s professor. He was the only person dad knew in college who wasn’t swinging (group sex). Mom and dad were pure type hippies and wanted something clean and good.

My parents joined tons of churches and even had a guru in their search (1965-1974) during the Jesus Revolution. I remember after I was baptized at 8, it was a common teaching beck then (I have asked others who are raised in different parts of the USA, and they have said the same thing, that are around my same age), I was taught: “If someone asks, if you’re Christian, you say, no, I am Mormon.” I know President Nelson has contradicted all the previous prophets and thrown them under the bus (including my beloved Kimball and Monson) by saying the word Mormon is a victory for Satan, but it was a badge I wore proudly for 40 years.

I absolutely know Kimball was not on Satans side and was doing “a victory for satan.” When he walked, unknowingly, into a chapel I was in as a teen, I felt the power of God enter the room. I stood up and turned around.

17:00 The reason non-members do not use the full name is because up until Nelson, it was culturally correct to say Mormon. Even Monson had the multi million dollar campaign called “I am Mormon,” which is still on KZfaq. And as i said before, I was taught to reply to people who asked if I were Christian, to say, “I am not Christian, I am Mormon” (1970s).

I’m a year older than David. I remember the Jesus movement “Jesus Freaks.” I wasn’t raised in a religious home. Fortunately I was introduced to the church by a friend in high school and baptized at 16. The Jesus movement never rang true to me but the Gospel did. Recently I’ve been trying to slowly to introduce an evangelical to the church. It’s been a tough go. She truly believes in Jesus but does not regularly attend her mega church. I loved it when he said these churches are basically just a business. That’s pretty true of mega churches. I see on Instagram when my friend attends her mega church in Arizona. Lots of people, sometimes a carnival atmosphere with games and booths with free treats. But it lacks the personal touch and warmth of our wards. I can tell she knows something is missing. Hopefully one of these days I can share this video with her. Thank you for this story. It warms my heart.

HISTORICAL FACTS: 1. Dartmouth was only 20 miles from Joseph Smith's house, and there are many documented interactions with the college. 2. Joseph Smith Senior’s father had a cousin named John Smith, who was a professor of ancient languages at Dartmouth University, and wrote about Indian origins, and inhabited planets 3. Professor John Smith had 2 famous students: Solomon Spalding, Ethan Smith 4. Ethan Smith was Oliver Cowdery's family pastor and wrote "View of the Hebrews" 5. The historical ties between Dartmouth college, Joseph Smith, his Uncle Professor John Smith, Solomon Spalding and Ethan Smith to the Book of Mormon cannot be coincidence.

Plus you cant find where he actually went to church aside from evidence of a weird cult church. Not to mention his very first video posted when he was still "questioning" was all LDS apologetics and he talks like how LDS people think evangelicals act. For example when he gave his testimony he used the term "Scriptura Sola" which for someone who is supposed to be an evangelical for 47 years is not how you say it. And he never states his denomination he just says "Evangelical" that's the same as someone claiming to play "Pro Basketball" but never saying their team or league.

@annetteslade3810 He talks exactly how every single LDS member thinks how evangelicals talk. But I've heard the terms he's used, and they're incorrect. And for someone who says they've been part of evangelical christianity for 47 years thats pretty weird. I've never once heard him say his actual church. Instead, he just keeps repeating that he was an "evangelical." The same way you talk. LDS know only the fire and brimstone radical cult street preacher types, apparently, and they all have that exact same testimony. It's always the fire and brimstone christian condeming people to hell vs. the peace loving, joyful LDS. In truth, though, your church has two different doctrines. The one that you use in your testimony versus the one that is actually written down.

See Mormonism Live Episode 172. David was evidently active in the "12 Tribes" group, as a local missionary leader in that group in charge of proceletizing. This group has a history of accusations of child abuse & is considered by some to be a cult. So yes, he would not be considered a mainstream evangelical. I will say that he's managed to adopt mormon/LDS word usage pretty sucessfully for the relatively short time he has been a member of the movement.

David, NO RESTORATION IS NEEDED. Because Jesus already has established His Church. MATTHEW 16:18 "And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church and the gates of Hell shall not prevail against it..." JUDE 3 "Beloved, while I was very diligent to write to you concerning our common salvation, I found it necessary to write to you exhorting you to contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints..." Jesus already has established His Church and built it on a rock so the gates of Hell shall not prevail against. Also, the faith was ONCE and for all already delivered to the saints. No mention of any restoration in the past, present, and future.

@Jer-zp7zv 6 ай бұрын
Acts 3:19-21 Albert the very next day after the church was born Peter spoke of the restoration of all things before the second coming...You can't restore something that is not taken. All the holy prophets since the world began testified of the restoration. When Christ ascended to heaven two men stood by in white apparel and said. Ye men of Galalee why stand ye looking up into heaven this same Jesus which ascends into heaven will come again in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven. Acts 1: 9-11. Before the 2nd coming of Jesus Christ every prophet since the world began testified of this restitution of all things. Christ's Church was born in Acts 2 and when the people were filled with the Holy Ghost they asked Peter when they were pricked in the heart what shall we do? In verse 38 "then Peter said unto them, Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the Gift of the Holy Ghost." The apostacy was foretold 2nd Thes. 2:3 Act 20:29-30, Amos 8:11, Gal 1:6-8, 2nd Timothy 3: 1-7, 2nd Timothy 4: 3,4, Micah 3:11- People would teach for hire. As David has explained many time this was the biggest cause of the apostacy during the ministry of Paul as nearly all had left with the exception of Timothy. People would have a form of Godliness but would deny the power thereof. The Trinitarian torture carried out by the Catholic and state churches of the reformation, Calvinism, baptism of infants. The Gates of hell don't prevail against anything their gates. The lords church is built on the foundation of apostles and prophets Ephesians 2: 19,20. Why are they needed Ephesians 4: 11-14. For an example of how important they were and are now see Acts 15. There are 25,000 different churches in the world today and only one led by apostles and prophets the Church of Jesus Christ of Ladder Day Saints. As Daniel Prophesied Daniel 2:44,45 The lord would set up a kingdom that would never be destroyed that would fill the whole earth speaking of the restoration. Jesus Christ speaks of that Kingdom in Mathew 21:42-46. Another fulfillment last two verses in the old testament before the great and dreadful day of the lord I will send you Elijah the prophet. That sealing link is temple work restored by the prophet Elijah. Isiah speaks of this restoration Isiah 29 and before Israel shall be restored as a nation in verse 18 "in that day shall the deaf hear the words of a book, and the eyes of the blind shall see out of obscurity and out of darkness" (The Book of Mormon) What about Isiah 2:2-5 The Lord's house shall be established in the top of the mountains. Before the lord comes again one thing has to happen, the world has to be left without excuse, the gospel of Jesus Christ will be taught to all the world. It is happening as prophesied under the direction of Jesus Christ in his Church today.

@Jer-zp7zv Yes, Acts 3:19-21 does say that. But, the one thing that makes Mormon prophets wrong is this. Prophets do not make major changes to doctrine that has ALREADY BEEN ESTABLISHED BY GOD. for example: The Trinity, being saved by grace through faith not of works, the Virgin birth of Jesus, the Deity of Jesus Christ, angels coming down from heaven to Joseph Smith preaching another Gospel (GALATIANS 1:6-9). God never or will say Mormons can be god's. So all these doctrinal vagaries are not of God.

Why because you do not accept revelation or the need then and currently just as shown in Acts 15 without apostles and prophets you have 25,000 different doctrines.

David, there was no restoration because Christ promised he would be with His Church, the Catholic Church, until the end of the age: Matthew 28: 19-20. In addition, Christ gave the keys of the kingdom to St. Peter and his successors to exercise authority on earth as a line of Vicars: Matthew 16: 18-19. Joseph Smith was a false prophet, a polygamist, and a henotheist. He committed mortal sin and was killed by an angry mob inside a jail. When Christ and the Apostles in the New Testament were upon the earth, they were considered a cult. They were considered heretics by the religious leaders of their day and many of times would have be been and/or were stoned for heresies. They were accused of adding to the word of God by the religious leaders of the day. They suffered much persecution, hatred, and evil speaking of. Many disciples that followed Christ and later the Apostles turned away because they could not endure sound doctrine (2 Timoty 4:3). 3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; They were accused of preaching another gospel then that had previously been taught. They were accused of many lies, half-truths, and twisted truth, their good deeds were cast off as evil (calling good evil and evil good). Christ and the Apostles were considered criminals and were imprisoned and executed. Sound familiar. Yes, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the most persecuted CHRISTIAN Churches, especially by other Christian churches. Many religious leaders, their members, and former members have spread falsehoods, lies, half-truths, taken things and our history out of context, twisted our sacred doctrines and ordinances, making good evil and evil good. Many of these things have been spoken of for 190+ years. Just as Christ and the Apostles of the New Testament suffered much persecution, Latter-Day Saints too have and continue to suffer much persecution (hatred, slander, bigotry, violence and death of the early Saints, etc.) Just as Christ and the Apostles, Latter-Day Saints too have been accused of being a cult, are heretics, evil, going to Hell, violent, ignorant, satan worshippers, fake, are so evil that they can seem loving, kind, genuine, happy, etc., etc., etc. Christ said: Matthew 5:10 - 12 10 Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness’ sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. 11 Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. 12 Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you. Luke 11:47 - 50 47 Woe unto you! for ye build the sepulchres of the prophets, and your fathers killed them. 48 Truly ye bear witness that ye allow the deeds of your fathers: for they indeed killed them, and ye build their sepulchres. 49 Therefore also said the wisdom of God, I will send them prophets and apostles, and some of them they shall slay and persecute: 50 That the blood of all the prophets, which was shed from the foundation of the world, may be required of this generation; Luke 6:22 - 23 22 Blessed are ye, when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you from their company, and shall reproach you, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of man’s sake. 23 Rejoice ye in that day, and leap for joy: for, behold, your reward is great in heaven: for in the like manner did their fathers unto the prophets. John 15:18 - 21 18 If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you. 19 If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you. 20 Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also. 21 But all these things will they do unto you for my name’s sake, because they know not him that sent me. Stephen said: Acts 7:51 - 53 51 Ye stiffnecked and uncircumcised in heart and ears, ye do always resist the Holy Ghost: as your fathers did, so do ye. 52 Which of the prophets have not your fathers persecuted? and they have slain them which shewed before of the coming of the Just One; of whom ye have been now the betrayers and murderers: 53 Who have received the law by the disposition of angels, and have not kept it. Christ’s disciples no longer followed Him: John 6:60 - 71 60 Many therefore of his disciples, when they had heard this, said, This is an hard saying; who can hear it? 61 When Jesus knew in himself that his disciples murmured at it, he said unto them, Doth this offend you? 62 What and if ye shall see the Son of man ascend up where he was before? 63 It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life. 64 But there are some of you that believe not. For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were that believed not, and who should betray him. 65 And he said, Therefore said I unto you, that no man can come unto me, except it were given unto him of my Father. 66 ¶ From that time many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him. 67 Then said Jesus unto the twelve, Will ye also go away? 68 Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life. 69 And we believe and are sure that thou art that Christ, the Son of the living God. 70 Jesus answered them, Have not I chosen you twelve, and one of you is a devil? 71 He spake of Judas Iscariot the son of Simon: for he it was that should betray him, being one of the twelve. When one is looking for the true church, one of the things one has to do and think of is which of all the churches that claim to be Christian, which of them is the most persecuted (hated, slandered, despised, made fun of, called evil, ridiculed, talked about the most in most of the Christian churches, talked about the most on social media platforms, on the news, in newspapers, etc. Christ said that His followers would be persecuted and by their fruits ye shall know them.

In the early days of the Church, the leaders and the Church members were physically persecuted. They were driven out from town to town (New York, Ohio, Missouri, Illinois, etc.) by gun point, they were tarred and feathered, their homes and businesses were burnt down, they were raped, they were killed. They had to flee into the wilderness (driven out of the United States), just as the children of Israel had to flee into the wilderness from Egypt into the Promise Land. The Governor of Missouri (Boggs) in the 1800s had an extermination order (It was ok to kill a “Mormon” (member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints) up until the 1970s) when the order was eventually removed by the Governor at that time. Many of these violence/persecution against the Saints were instigated by the ministers/pastors of other Christian Churches. The members of these Christian Churches were riled up by their ministers and pastors and were told that these so-called Mormons needed to be eradicated. Today, members (especially missionaries) of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints also have been physically injured, have rocks thrown at them, kidnapped, rammed off the road on their bikes, killed in other parts of the world as well due to religious persecution. Christ, His Apostles, and the former day Saints of the New Testament time were persecuted by the religious leaders of their day (Pharisees and Sadducees). They were accused of heresies, they were accused of adding to the word, they were accused of blasphemy, they were accused of preaching another gospel, they were falsely accused, and all matter of lies were spread among the people to have them (the people) persecute Christ, the Apostles, and the former-day Saints, they were stoned, thrown into prison as criminals, beheaded, crucified. Many of Christs’ disciples turned away from Christ and the Apostles because they could not endure sound doctrine (2 Timothy 4:3 - 4) 3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; 4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables. Christ said, by their fruits ye shall know them. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints produces a lot of good fruit. - Lives of its members - Charitable giving and service - Temples - Church Financially Sound (good stewards of the Lord’s sacred funds) - Quality of its Leaders (General and Local Leaders) - Etc. etc. etc. Of course, there are exceptions with everything, but overall fruits of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints are many. I know that God lives, and that Jesus Christ is my Savior. He is the only begotten of the Father and was born of the virgin Mary. It is only through Jesus Christ that we are saved. We are not saved by our works, but Christ said that we must do His will and keep His commandments, and as members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, that is what we strive to do. We choose to follow Him and do good works that He, Christ has ordained that we should walk in them (Ephesians 2:10) “The standard of truth has been erected. No unhallowed hand can stop the work from progressing; persecutions may rage, mobs may combine, armies may assemble, calumny may defame, but the truth of God will go forth boldly, nobly, and independent till it has penetrated every continent, visited every clime, swept every country, and sounded in every ear, till the purposes of God shall be accomplished and the great Jehovah shall say the work is done.” Joseph Smith tarred and feathered: Joseph Smith, founder of the Latter Day Saint movement, was dragged from his home during the night of March 24, 1832, by a group of men who stripped and beat him before tarring and feathering him. His wife and infant child were knocked from their bed by the attackers and were forced from the home and threatened. (The infant died several days later from exposure.) Smith was left for dead, but limped back to the home of friends. They spent much of the night scraping the tar from his body, leaving his skin raw and bloody. The following day, Smith spoke at a church devotional meeting and was reported to have been covered with raw wounds and still weak from the attack. Hawn’s Mill Massacre: On October 30 at approximately 4 p.m., the militia rode into the community. David Evans, a leader in the community, ran towards the militia, waving his hat and calling for peace. Alerted to the militia's approach, most of the Latter-day Saint women and children fled into the woods to the south, while most of the men headed to the blacksmith shop. The building was a particularly vulnerable structure as the widely-spaced logs enabled the attackers to fire inside. The shop became a deathtrap, since the militia gave no quarter, discharging about 100 rifles into the building.[10] Grand River Township Justice of the Peace Thomas McBride, wounded while escaping the blacksmith shop, surrendered his gun to Jacob S Rogers Jr., who shot him and then hacked his body with a corn knife (scythe blade). According to their own account, they fired seven rounds making upwards of 1,600 shots during the attack of Hawn's Mill. The attack lasted 30 to 60 minutes. After the initial attack, several of those who had been wounded or had surrendered were shot dead. Members of the militia entered the shop and found 10-year-old Sardius Smith, 7-year-old Alma Smith (sons of Amanda Barnes Smith), and 9-year-old Charles Merrick hiding under the blacksmith's bellows. Alma and Charles were shot (Charles later died), and a militia man known as "Glaze, of Carroll county", killed Sardius when he "put his musket against Sardius's skull and blew off the top of his head." Later, a William Reynolds would justify the killing by saying, "Nits will make lice, and if he had lived he would have become a Mormon."[8] William Champlin who was "playing possum" heard the conversations, was discovered, held captive a few days, then released. Several other bodies were mutilated, while many women were assaulted. Houses were robbed, wagons, tents, and clothing were stolen, and horses and livestock were driven off, leaving the surviving women and children destitute. As a result of the massacre 17 Mormons died: Hiram Abbott (25), Elias Benner (43), John Byers, Alexander Campbell, Simon Cox, Josiah Fuller (35), Austin Hammer (34), John Lee, Benjamin Lewis (35), Thomas McBride (62), Charles Merrick (9), Levi Merrick (30), William Napier (43), George S. Richards (15), Sardius Smith (10), Warren Smith (44), and John York (62). Fifteen more had been injured: Jacob Foutz (38), Jacob Hawn (34), Charles Jameson (35), Nathan K. Knight (36), Isaac Leany (24), Tarlton Lewis (33), Gilmon Merrill (30), George Myers (29), Jacob Myers Jr.(23), Jacob Potts (25), Hiram Rathbun, Alma Smith (7), Mary Stedwell, John Walker (44), and William Yokum (33). There were a few uninjured men, including William Champlin (44), Ellis Eames (48), Rial Eames (25), David Lewis (24), and David Evans (34). The next morning, fourteen of the dead were slid from a plank into a large unfinished dry well[9] and covered with straw and a thin layer of dirt. Benjamin Lewis (33), originally buried on the David Lewis farm, was later exhumed and moved to a local cemetery; Charles Merrick (9) died later and was buried elsewhere; and Hiram Abbott (25) was later removed to his father's place where he died.[26] Four of the 240 militiamen were wounded, but none fatally. John Hart, a Livingston resident, was wounded in the arm. John Renfrow had his thumb shot off. Allen England, a citizen of Daviess, was severely wounded in the thigh. Jacob S. Rogers Jr., a Daviess resident, was shot in the hip by Nathan Kinsman Knight.

This is a side point but whoever does your Botox and lip filler does a really great job. Or maybe it's just all the years of not smoking and drinking. He's a fun dude. More energy than men half his age. If he was one of the 1.2 billion Hindus he would be saying 5 heavens and believing in that mythology and how Hinduism is the one true religion. He happens to be lds and now "knows" 3 heavens is the way to go and secret handshakes are the key to the top heaven.

Luke I am not sure you are sincere in your criticisms but if you are you will listen to David's podcast today where he answered your questions about heaven. " Dear Christians heaven is not one size fits all" David Alexander. If you listen to this with an open humble heart it will change your life. Please listen to what the Bible says about the plan of salvation as David teaches this principle which is plainly taught if you actually believe the Bible to be the word of God.

@@Jer-zp7zv It's hard to be sincere when the founder is quoted as saying there are humans living on the moon, that he is more important than Jesus, destroyed printing presses because they printed stuff he didn't like about him, and one of my favorites: told his dear wife he had to go have sex (or rape) many married women and children because there's an angel with a flaming sword commanding him to do it.

David, of course you're gonna see miracles from Mormonism. You think the Devil is going to come at you looking like a monster!? No... He's coming at you looking like an angel of light. II CORINTHIANS 11:14-15 "And no wonder! For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also transform themselves into ministers of righteousness, whose end will be according to their works..."

Albert, where you been. Good to see you. Friendly trolls always welcome. Instead of telling people what to believe, can you answer any simple questions yourself yet? Like what church do you go to that’s so right?

@@millennialfalkon Don't worry about it. The real question you should be asking yourself is this: Why are you worshipping the wrong Jesus?
