David Austin sugar rose tutorial

Materials: Satin Ice gumpaste, fondant roller and ball tool, foam pad, foam ball, floral wire or stick, David Austin rose cutters or regular rose cutters will work as well-- just keep the sizes around the same.

**This rose was inspired by various David Austin rose tutorials I have seen including that by Cotton & Crumbs. I combined a few techniques and have slight variations in this style I use.

Abigail Del Rosario The smallest cutter is 1x1/2" and the largest 2 3/4" x 2" 1/2.

It’s gumpaste but you can use fondant too. It just might be a little softer and harder to form

Mr. & Mrs Wojciechowski hahaha well I didn’t say it was bad.. just the way is made, how she cuts the styrofoam and the way she handle the petals looks messy, not delicate. But as I wrote the results was very nice.

Edwardrs Jefferson Martinez Aponte When cutting styrofoam, it always leaves a bit of a mess but once you cover it with sugar paste , nothing is noticeable. So nice that she took the time to showcase her work, we need more artists like her 👍🏻
