I was there in San Jose, Cal for that show. It was like a lot of his shows, excellent. I like how he did "White Light,White Heat" originally done by Velvet Underground.

I was 21, so locked away attending music school, and rush home to be in a basement trying to become the next big guitarist, and paid no attention to Bowie. Meanwhile, here he is at the same time in my life touring with Frampton and Sexton as his axemen. Damnit, would have loved to catch this live.

Do a search of Guitar International Magazine and my 2002, Three Part Interview with Charlie Sexton is there. I grew up on Charlie's Texas blues rock but this 80's glam rock with Bowie is the sh**! Thanks for sharing. I remember this song from the Glass Spider Tour that was actually televised on national TV back in late 1987 and recording it on the VCR. All of my old VCR tapes are long gone, but coming across this bought back memories of great times!

That was smokin! Very good job on all their parts. So what about the '80s hair dos. I know a lot of people didn't like 80's Bowie but I saw two different shows by him during that time. Glass Spider and Serious Moonlight and both were outstanding. A lot of fun was had by all.

+nallly I happened to see both tours. Serious Moonlight was more just rocking out while Glass Spider was more theatrical with the rock. Hard to figure out which I enjoyed more. Btw check out Sons of the Silent Age song, Glass Spiders Tour with Frampton. Brilliant!!! I am blessed that I saw him a dozen times.

I have watched my Glass Spider DVD recently, it is awesome! I really love the good mood and the serene performances. Not to forget the enclosed 2CD set with amazing recordings of songs like for example Scary Monsters (interesting to compare with the Outside Tour performances) or the rarely performed All The Madmen. White Light White Heat is a Bowie tour classic, anyway. A wonderful upload, thank you my dear friend!

I just wrote to someone that I saw DB live about a dozen times. And stated that Serious Moonlight Tour and Glass Spider Tour, I was there for both. If you really really want to see something cool, look up "Sons of The Silent Age" Glass Spider Tour with Peter Frampton. Beautiful.
