David Bradley Tractor With Sickle Bar Mower

This is a 91757561 David Bradley walk Behind Tractor Made approx. 1951- 53 ... with Sickle Bar Mower Attachment Demonstrated , in Working Order,
This DB has been repowered with an Older 5HP Tecumseh Engine, I Believe This tractor Originally had a Continental or Briggs Engine.
This is the exact same tractor as My "Little Bertha"

Just picked up a sickle mower yesterday. This will be my first attachment for my DB's Thx for the info. I'm guessing the clutch disc is the same as the tractor uses. I'ma need at least four of them.

Nice job on the control rod, that's a great idea. The sickle mower is a fun attachment. I'm sure you'll get plenty of use from it.

Now there's an attachment I'd love to have for the Simps... I had 1 complete sickle mower & 1 in pieces, but unfortunately they didn't 'make the cut' when we moved down here... I never even got to use it. Looking forward to seeing this in action, thumb's up!

I seem to be missing the (upside down) "L" shaped linkage bar on the front that comes out of the top and attaches to the moving blade. Can you help me understand how that part is attached on both ends? I'd like to attempt to manufacture it.

Great video, thank you. Great idea on the clutch rod. What was the typical horsepower used to run these? Im restoring one now, but building a 4ft bar for it.

I have had very Good Success using a 3.5 or 5 HP Tecumseh Engines off of Snow Blowers, as you can see in my other Videos. You Do NOT need a lot of HP for these machines, they are ALL TORQUE , Original Engines were Continental 1.5 HP. Good Luck

Excellent. I will be using a 20hp V twin. Lots of rotating mass should work out good. I might even put a smaller pulley on my wobble box.
