The David Bromberg Band was one of my favorite live acts. They brought the house down everywhere they played. Superb musicianship, great arrangements, great song selection and most of all they had BIG FUN doing it.

David Bromberg is one of the very first memories I have of music. My dad bought My Own House in 1978. I was 3. It's pretty much worn out but I've still got it.

Love this guy. Great voice, guitar. All of it. Wish my life had been as focused in 1976, though I was trying.

I envy Americans so much. So much talent to be seen. And in little venues. It must be amazing.

Bromberg at the 'Bottom Line" in NYC every Valentine's Day during the late 70's early 80's was always the best show of the year.

Bought this album back in 1973 when I was 22 and it's still my fav album of all time, Bromberg is a brilliant musician whether playing jazz/blues/country etc and a great story teller.....my fav version of Bojangles an example.....I never get tired of it, my wife gets a little tired of it.....ha ha ha

On February 2, 1975, I caught David Bromberg at the Capitol Theatre. He was great, as was the other "opening" act, Tom Rush. The featured artist that night was Linda Ronstadt, whose encore was "Heat Wave" on an evening when it was 11 degrees outside in downtown Passaic, NJ.

Saw him live at Memorial Hall on the campus of UNC in Chapel Hill, NC in the spring of 1977, and he played this. Great concert. My then-girlfriend went out and bought the "How Late'll Ya Play Til?" album, which this appears on. Or maybe she already had it, I forget. It was getting a lot of radio play at the time. I wonder if he gets away with the slurs against gays these days, in the final spoken part? Probably not. The LGBTQ / woke crowd would have him exiled.

No friend...go see my video from earlier this month. He assuredly adapted the F word out of his spiel. However there was no real malice back then with it...just good clean fun. Times are different now
