I saw David in some roadhouse outside of Austin in '76. He was singing Mr. Bojangles and there was a power outage. He continued the song solo, didn't miss a beat. The crowd became incredibly quiet so we could hear his unamplified voice and guitar. His best performance.

I've seen Bromberg and band a few times. Always puts a big smile on my face.

David Bromberg is one of my all time favorite musicians. We missed him for a very long time. Thanks again David. You get my deepest respect on your return! Some say that David Bromberg is toooo diversified. He plays blues, folk, rock, country, ragtime, and fiddle tunes. Well, that is what I like best about him. In this respect, he is a songster, which is a word often applied to guys like Mance Lipscomb, Willie McTell, and other blues guys whose repertoire is too big for a single category.

That drummer sure looks like Sean Lennon.
