But, then like 3 days later I did it again and holly shit it was pretty insane but towards the end I started going into a bad trip (probably due to watching way too many war docs on VIce)Nothing too serious, but i was tired as shit after that and the next day.

Not trying to have a pity party over here it I've been suffering from depression for years, I've had a somewhat bad life and I'm a pretty lonely person..... I want to try psychedelics to cure some of my depression but I'm afraid I might think about all the bad stuff in my life and go over the edge.....any advice?
@MattRyanBurrows9 жыл бұрын
Thats called having a bad trip. That happens to us all. During a shroom trip I literally felt like I was going to die right where I was laying. So in that moment I told msyself that its been a nice life, and I accepted who I was at that time, where I going and what I've done. and I died. My vision was turning to black like I was going to sleep, but then i started shaking and feeling convulsions almost.. then my vision turned to white and I really felt like i died right there. then the white went away that was my ego i guess. Then my trip went to a normal setting again and i started having insane visions in the mind( when closing my eyes) no paranoia or any bad feelings.

That's not a bad idea. You can come to terms with yourself through psychedelics. Create a controlled, peaceful setting for yourself and please have a sitter or two. and if things get too bad for you, have a few xanax and or valium to calm you down. Good luck!
@Mycrazylittlehead9 жыл бұрын
Yes, you will get emotional and possibly break down. But thats the purpose of psychedelics, to take a journey within yourself and learn about who you are and why you are. Just remember that's it's all in your mind and you have control of what goes on in there. Im only speaking from experience, hope this helps and have a safe trip.

See, (in my personal opinion, of course :D) you are right though! Your means of communicating that feeling is what is off. And that is not your fault, that is the fault of language. It cannot fully account for experience. Your experience of Christ and God is quite real, as both have put themselves (i.e. a divine nature/being) within us! This is the inner world many have come to discover, but you don't have to discover it by saying Jesus's name or even reading the bible. That's religion and Jesus

Read DMT: The Spirit Molecule by Dr. Rick Strassman. Don't go on bashing on people and trying to sound smart when you yourself don't know the facts. You're talking about smoking DMT, the other guy is talking about activating it when you sleep or through meditation, in which case it is produced in the pineal gland. Enzymes have nothing to do with the production of DMT or anything for that matter, they are proteins that allow chemical reactions to occur.

Well now you're just arguing for the sake of arguing. Why bother going to doctors or professionals for anything in life if it's the same as asking someone on the street? Because their opinions are far more informed and in many cases based on real occurrences. This specific doctor did years of research on DMT, so you comparing him to "a guy off the streets" is just ridiculous, you have to admit.

Dmt is not released at all during birth or death. I hate how spread out this misinformation is about DMT.
@sheeeitmayn43843 жыл бұрын
@@eazup1 well, for one Dr. Strassman was just spectating that idea like you said, but I for one can tell you that dreaming for example, is a surely nothing like a break through dmt trip. Nor is a NDE, sure NDE's can be profound but they are extremely subjective and usually don't involve abrubt, overwhelming hallucinations. I've had my own close call with death, in a really bad roll over accident. I stopped breathing and had to be taken to the ICU by helicopter. I wasn't even but 10 miles away from a hospital. It was that bad. I eventually came to with ressesitation (sorry I'm terrible st spelling ha) but I don't rember any sort of mystical experience. Or anything DMT like. Just, remember nothing at all. Besides the accident. My best friend's mom died in that accident. And I almost lost my ability to walk. Anyway. There's also the fact that there is zero evidence to back up the fact that dmt is released at death, besides dmt bonding to Sigma-1 receptors which are thought to provide oxygen to cells when prevent them from dying but the amount of dmt found normally in the blood stream isn't nearly enough to illicit such a response. I'm not neurologist so, don't take my word for it just read this journal by David Nichols. Someone who's expertize involves synthesising new psychedelic compounds for the study of how psychedelics/serotonin effect the brain and the role they play in the brain. He's the guy who discovered the 25-X nbome drugs, and plenty of MDMA analogues and such. He is one of the break through, leading researchers in this field. journals.sagepub.com/doi/abs/10.1177/0269881117736919
@sheeeitmayn43843 жыл бұрын
@@eazup1 I guess you have to have special access to read the journal in that site but, I've read it before and many others I don't wanna shuffle around google all day especially since most results on drug research are omitted anyway. I'm sure you could find some stuff on your own, but even the fact that people claim DMT is released during child birth... How on earth did anyone come to that conclusion? You can't ask an infant if they where tripping balls when they came out the womb or ask anyone if they remember because it is impossible.fie them too. You cant form new memories as a newborn. Your brain is too busy learning how to human to remember things like a profound mystical experience. Us, there is plenty of research showing that psychedelic drugs actually mimick the human brain in infancy. I mean, think about it the entire world is brand new to you of course they are gonna seem like they're tripping lmfao. That's what tripping is essentially, it makes things seem so new, so foreign and alien... Just because your pondering your entire life, having mystical spiritual experiences doesn't mean they are drug induced. All drugs like DMT do are mimick serotonin, and light up your entire serotonin network like a Christmas tree, causing all sorts of feedback from parts of the brain that don't normally communicate with one another. All the effects from psychedelics can be easily explained by science. People give too much credit to shit that's not even real.

Sorry for the rant, but one last thing. This is kinda a disclaimer because I sounded a bit like a Jesus-freak there. I was a Christian, left Christianity and pursued other "psychedelic", Buddhist, Hindu and other esoteric (at least to western man) beliefs. It only took me a little time to realize that Christ's mindset was talking about the same thing. All his message is is to live like that. And that mindset is available to anyone. That is following Christ, not just accepting a name in ur heart.
@CreativeCatalysts2011 жыл бұрын
Eh, I came off New Agey, but while I don't believe everything they say, I believe there is something to learn from everything. Jesus indeed had a specific and most important purpose in all our lives but to say that one has no access to the spiritual Self or a genuine mystical experience without accepting Jesus makes no sense..

... Jesus came to abolish religion. Anyone can access the infinite consciousness within by having the Christ-mindset. This is one of love, unity, transcendence and peace. This world is FUCKED UP. If it wasn't for Christ (in my eyes) we would need to spend our time, running around worrying about this shit of a world we are creating (not totally shitty, but bear with me). Christ died for our wrong deeds so we can only focus on love and creating unity; rather than hate and duality.
