A smooth bass solo from David de Marez Oyens, when Jan Akkerman’s My Brainbox (with Phil Bee) performed to a delighted audience on a beautiful sunny afternoon, when they were first band up on the Spanjaardsgat podium, upon the opening of the wonderful Breda Jazz Festival 2022, May 26th, 2022. This year’s event was a highly energetic celebration of live music, after two years of live music lockdown, and no better band to kick things off!
