David Diaz didn't mean to insult Pacquiao. It's just normal to underestimate an opponent. Manny Pacquiao suffered way much more insults from Filipinos than from any of his boxing opponents. On my first trip to the Philippines after COVID I found out that Pacquiao's reputation was very badly tarnished with false accusations of womanizing, lack of education, ignorance, dumb etc. coming from the camp of then President Duterte and his followers. It appears that Senator Pacquiao went to expose a corruption scheme at the Department of Health regarding purchase of COVID supplies from a bugos Chinese Company. The scheme was ran by Duterte's allies. The expose led to a senate investigation that angered President Duterte who hurled repeated personal insults on Manny Pacquiao on national television igniting a nationwide harassments on Pacquiao by Duterte's fanatical followers online and in the streets. Pacquiao is a descent man who never responded to President Duterte's insults making Duterte and his followers even more aggressive to malign Pacquiao's reputation.

For those who don't know, half of Diaz's practices are being punched in the face. He can resist pain and his strategy was to use his face as a punchbag to wear Manny out. It worked for the most part, but he forgot that Manny is too quick, and he has no counter hits in return. Thus, his loss was inevitable.

It's actually a classic Pacquiao maneuver. He feints with his right, forcing his opponent to dodge, winding their heads all the way to the left. Then he throws a powerful left hook made even devastating by the winding back of his opponent's neck. It's like purposely crashing a mini car onto a train, both moving at full speed.
@BringDHouseDown
@BringDHouseDown 10 ай бұрын
@@alejandrorey359 I guess you would dodge that from that position by, from that position bent over with head to the left, by bending back, moving your upper body back...but when you're that tired, it's round 9, and you're faculties aren't as good as they were at round 1, I guess that's the moment when it would be the perfect time to do that maneuver cause chances are the guy isn't going to react enough or even have the energy to react that fast and wobble back to dodge that incoming hook

Pretty much same height and reach as Paq. Let’s see if he can capture is 4th vs Fulton. He would then need to gradually move up in weight class within probably 6-7 years and capture 4 more divisions. Inoue doesn’t have much wear and tear on his body or face but Paq’s face always seems to be in condition. Inoue needs better defense.

@@f430ferrari5 For me pandemic year is not wasted. It just means, more training, more understanding and self reflection. All the time what a great fighter needs to stay on top is self reflection. And at the same time the pandemic only lasts a year in boxing industry. Then it slowly back to normal. I'm a big fan of Naoya Inoue. I saw the improvement from the pre pandemic to naoya inoue today. I'm pretty sure that the Version of Inoue in the pre pandemic will get knocked out by Casimero. The true wasted prime is Casimero. He's got 2-3 years of prime. He's the most affected fighter in the pandemic I guess. His name is about to explode and all of a sudden fight with Naoya was cancelled. Then his fucktard bro messed up all the connections. LOL On the other hand, if Naoya knocks fulton out. I'm pretty sure he'll fuck up the lightweight division as well. EASY!

This is a textbook example of why timing always trumps brute strength. There was clearly not enough space for Manny to throw all his weight into that finishing blow, but it did not matter. He read and timed Diaz perfectly, letting Diaz provide all the momentum, and letting his own accuracy do the rest.

Fighting Margarito and seeing how hard and painful a heavier, bigger man, specially that hook to the liver when he was along the ropes, made the decision to forget about the middleweight class, and concentrating on the welterweight division easy for Manny. "Masakit, sa inyo na yan middleweight title" lol The PacMan's honesty, humility and humour is second to none. 😊

Pac admitted to being badly hurt in the Margarito fight to the body and was supposedly laid up in bed afterward. If this had been a fresher version of Maragarito at welterweight, who knows maybe Pac suffers a loss and he wouldn't have had that amazing welterweight run. I'm not sure why Pac insisted on staying at welterweight even as he got older when he probably could've easily made 140 where he would have been more dangerous. Supposedly and older team Pac offered Loma a fight at 140 but Loma turned it down.

@@User79283 there are a lot of achievements and records in boxing. Manny's eight weight division titles is just one of them. It's amazing but its flawed cause manny never defeated a champ at 154 and the fight was a catchweight. Manny also never won regular belts at 126 and 140. There are achievements and records in boxing that manny didnt achieve as well.Number of weightclasses won is not the main basis of greatness but the qualities of oppositions fought and defeated. Cause if you make number of weightclasses as the main basis of greatness then it wouldnt be fair for heavyweights who can only fight at one weightclass. It wouldnt also be fair for fighters like robinson and armstrong who were fighting in an era where there were only eight original weights with only one belt each weightclass. There are just way too many belts today.
