This song has me crying now that I've read the lyrics. My best friend Carlos committed suicide 2 years ago. He was so beautiful and always so happy, he was the closest friend I ever had. His suicide was a shock and it still is, I don't understand it. I really love this song, thank you Grimes for making this. You sung what i couldn't find the words for.

She has written such wonderful and melodic and atmospheric music, it's fantastic. Her lyrics always very poetic, great beats, great melodies, great songwriter.

As time goes by, this song more and more makes me think of a female friend of mine that died, about 2 months ago. She was a nice person, dying in her late 20's. i miss her and hanging out with her at work and outside work. The lyrics are meaningful.

I listen to this every time I am sad. My brother's name was David and his girlfriend committed suicide after his death. I wish Grimes would officially make and release this song at some point, it means a lot to me.

I would like to do a psychological analysis of the people disliking this song and find out what creates people like that.

This song means so much to me… my cousin died when we were 16 in a car accident. I didn’t realize until recently how much her death affected me. We both were dealing with depression but I never knew until after she died. When I hear the line “i never knew” it hits me so hard. Also over the years I realize that she really has faded from my memory. It’s hard to picture her face and voice when I remember a couple weeks after her death I could see and hear her clearly… I know she is still with me but this song means so much.
