@ecartsonis This is the choreography for Prince Desire, as created by Grigorovich after Petipa. All the principal men will dance the same steps when they are cast as Prince Desire.

@RegularJesus Thanks..I was told by a former Ballet Russe dancer that certain parts of the choreography are set in stone, but that in between those parts, the choreography can be changed to match the capabilities of the dancer.

anyone who loves dance would like to see one of the best dancers there today but I see that for many of you who are not. I really do not understand. the Russian dancers are fantastic, yes, but also David Hallberg.

He left me cold, sometimes it seemed like he didn't know what to do with his hands. Just see Nikolai Tsiskaridze dancing Prince Desire..

И Барышников тоже прекрасно танцует Дезире! Но Цискаридзе мне в этой вариации еще больше нравится.

@Pearlaceous You said it! In addition it was an over-pompous production lacking in any magic. Curious to see how long Hallberg stays in Moscow.

Dolchev, can you tell me why Hallberg's choreographies were so simple? We were surprised to see just lots and lots of grand jetes. Do you have any insight?

He is very slender, and, they say, a dancer without a face

So many negative comments; very fitting for the ugly atmosphere at the Bolshoi that contributed to the acid attack on the director.

He is just soooooo good - but no dancer should have to compete with a floor *and* a wig.

All real russian stars dance much better! What for he was invited to Bolshoy theater!? Producer Danilian made it for him - only PR and no more!
