Years ago, when I was working in a call center, I took a call from a man whose name was Astle. (I forget his first name.) Every time I said "Mr. Astle", I had to really focus to pronounce it correctly or risk insulting the man or even getting fired. :-)

One asks himself what kind of a sick joke the parents of these people were pulling on their kids when they gave them their first names, knowing how cruel their school and playmates could be. When I was in grade school, one of the girls had the last name of Witch. By the time I caught back up with her in her freshman year of college, she had changed it to a garden variety name. Smart girl.

@@richreed9927 On re-watching the video, it occurred to me that some parents are just not smart enough to anticipate the toxicly humorous effect caused by the shortened version of the full name they give to their kids. E.g., his parents probably named the Nr. 1 guy Richard without realizing it would become "Dick Head".

I once knew of two race horses named York Hunt & Mike Hunt. Can you imagine the race caller describing the stretch drive?
