There are two secrets which I found useful for me well actually three. 1 . When doing pirouettes , finish "up" that is before you take your final position, end your turns in relieve, retire and stop facing the front before finishing in 5th or to the knee, the turns are one thing and the finish is another do not be in a hurry to finish and be out of control, having said that you must think that your leg begins just under the lower rib, that helps you pull up. Thirdly ,this is for most a short lived career and has many ups and downs. I often had nightmares of not being able to dance.
