He's short-circuiting the whole "how did a dweeb like you pull a chick like that" conversation in order to move on. He's had this on several interview shows. If he just gets to the punchline, he doesn't have to deal with 5 minutes of slowly eking out the "you should be grateful!" punchline. I'm glad you enjoy his banter, I'm not really a big fan of him, but I do enjoy the banter and contrast between an (what you might think as) uncultured rapper and a very well mannered posh person. I found out about David Mitchell and Big Narstie through the show "Would I Lie To You" which I'm a very big fan of - and I encourage you to check it out if you haven't already.
