that open field dancing and exploding through contact with power has a #34 vibe, we'll see how it translates against bigger, stronger, faster, he's going to take a lot of punishment without breakaway speed, that may limit his window, the presence of Cohen as an offset should limit Nagy's temptation to overwork him

"Speed is not a very important quality for a rb at all" Yeah, I'm going to have to disagree with you on that. Speed is a great quality for a running back to have. Might not be a big fantasy difference beween David and someone like devonte freeman or Fournette or gurley or etc etc. if those dudes I listed make it to RB1 or equal time shares, watch out. I’m not sure I see how he’s just like Kamara, but I see how he’s perfectly built for the NFL and especially Chicago. He’ll be able to do what Jordan did his first 2 years but with more pass catching and better shake and maybe more speed ya? David doesn’t seem like the fastest guy in the world but his shake seems to make up for it. Amazing vision. What was Jordan actually a plus at? To add along to your comment, I believe what he does well will translate in this offense. He sets up the situation as nice as I dare to say Saquon Barkley. No the talent isn't the same we all know what the NFL is. But when you have a running back that moves that way with vision and power, good things are bound to happen. To add Anthony Miller does the same thing as a receiver. #agility... B-E-A-R-D-O-W-N...

@johnvallejo32115 жыл бұрын
I love this pick for Da Bears & i love this guy but having said that..... He better learn really quick that the NFL is different animal, different kind of beast all together as are the talent, he better work on ball security. Some of you already know what im talkIng about but for those of you that dont ....just watch a hand full of tape on this guy and you'l see what im talking about, he has this habbit of not tranfering the ball quick enough when he runs ...if at all at times, if he goes left , ball is left, he goes right ball still stays on his left, that ball needs to be secure and away from defenders in hand/arm of the sideline hes running on. Even when he swithes direction, jukes he needs to transfer that ball to the correct side and more protected side of his body. I have no boubt (Chicago) will get on him real quick and work that habit out of him, other then that not to many flaws in this guy. Montgomery kind of reminds me a little of T. Thomas , he was back up to Barry Sanders and a year behind him also, he got drafted by Buffalo Bills in the 2nd round, went to 4 streight superbowls but did lose all 4. Bills lot to Gaints, cant recall the 2nd but 3rd was to redskins or maybe that was the 2nd then to Cowgirls in that 4th superbowl, anyways... KZfaq this guy and i think youl see what im saying, watch some video on T.Thomas and tell me you dont see a little of David Montgomery in T.Thomas......now dont get all bent out of shape, im not saying he is T.Thomas or better then, im simoly saying that after giving it some thought he reminded me of T.Thomas in run style, good vision, patience, balance and hard to take down 1 on 1. Just my 2 cents. Hope this guy does well in the NFL and does great things for Da Bears.
@Psycomantis15 жыл бұрын
I can agree to this. He can work on ball transferring but he doesn't fumble the ball a lot. That's good considering how much he was used in this offense. Thurman Thomas comparisons can be up for the discussion, but ultimately what it feels like to me is that we got rid of Jordan Howard and got Matt Forte back in his prime. I think the running game has improved in Chicago. Only time will tell.
