Robert Benchley has some fun presenting the work of a mysterious producer, who may or may not exist.
N.B. The gentleman to camera-right, beside Benchley, greatly resembles Hal C. Kern. Mr. Kern was the editor who worked for Selznick from at least 1933 at MGM (on "Night Flight"). He was working for Selznick studios from 1936 ("Garden of Allah"), through the most famous titles, including "Gone with the Wind," up to 1947's "The Paradine Case." An interview with him was included in the documentary "The Making of a Legend: Gone with the Wind" from 1988.
Since this appears to be so, presumably the gentleman to camera-left may have had a connection with Mr. Selznick. Any help offered in identifying him would be appreciated. Thank-you.
