Ain't too many people, hardly any, that can snatch a song from Whitney. It's usually Whitney that does the snatching. Now granted, even though he predates Whitney singing this, coincidentally, Whitney's version is more widely recognized. But just learning about him singing this song, he takes this to a whole nother level. Brotha took this!!!

I have heard this song sung by Whitney Houston and the Four Tops.. This, right here... With all due respect to the aforementioned, is the best rendition I have ever heard, and frankly, I believe ever will hear. Just my opinion...
@djoldsoulkid34072 жыл бұрын
I think so too I’ve listened to all but I like this one better
@roberthenryeller2 жыл бұрын
No argument. I've been thinking that somehow, "I Believe In You And Me" has not yet been "done." I could have done without some of David Peaston's embellishments toward the end of this rendition. The performance just didn't need them. But this is closer to what I was looking for. I hope, some day, I will hear someone sing this song, and it will simply destroy me. Maybe it's the arrangement. But somehow, everyone who sings this song gets seduced into doing too much or too little. I think pretty highly of Amber Holcomb's rendition on American Idol, about 9 years ago, when she was 18 years old. Unfortunately, I cannot find a complete studio version of Holcomb singing this, or any of the other songs she performed on Idol. Worse yet, somehow Holcomb has disappeared back into Texas, which is a frustrating mystery for me.
