July 28th 2023 at 4 a.m. I listened to song for the first. I read the words along as you were singing them. I cried, as I knew our Savior was talking to me and telling me the love he has for me and for my ex-husband of 4 mos. It was away for two years and after a volatile relationship and being homeless, he is back at my house living in a nice bed room off the garage. Our gentle Savior Jesus Christ ✝️👑💖 has been working on both of our hearts 💔❤️‍🩹❤️✝️ and purposely put this song, as many other Christian songs on my phone to encourage, comfort and to show his love that needs to come out of our hearts to each other. "Now unto him, that is able to do exceeding, abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us". And God is doing that right now in our lives. AMEN ✝️👑💖

Our Gentle Savior must be so proud of you, David. You have no idea how many of us you bless on a daily basis. We listen to you sing and we are in awe. We cry. We repent. We fall in love with Jesus over and over again just because your spirit, voice and sweetness blesses us and nears us to heaven. My dream is to hear you sing in person. I pray that Jesus will allow that to happen some time soon. Also, you have a beautiful and talented family which I also include in my prayers.

I've seen you sing this song live in other events, but there was one event in which your interpretation of this song was very touching. You made me cry. We all know that you have an amazing voice, but you also have the gift of delivering emotions through your interpretation. Not every singer can do that. I really love the fact that you are vulnerable and honest on stage and in real life as well. You don't pretend to be someone else just because of being famous. I really appreciate that in a person. It amazes me to consider I first heard you singing this song 17 years ago at the age of 17. And now at the age of 34 I'm still effected by this song and your rendition of it! Hi, @Aiman Isahac. It sounds like a heady mix. There was definitely some tilting of the cricoid going there. Look at the shape of David's mouth as well; this helped with the acoustics. He uses his articulators very smartly. His body was also upright, and the shoulders were back. This helps prevent the lungs from collapsing. The upright position engages the intercostal muscles which plays a role in supporting the lungs and the diaphragm. There was also sufficient subglottic pressure to carry the note. Notice how David didn't over pronounce the V consonant. Consonants can encourage tension in the voice. The last point I will make reference to is how David tilted his head on the latter syllable of Savior; this trick helps alleviate the need to increase tension. Now, the most important thing is that this is more of an advanced skill, so don't push if your body is saying "hold on," because you can damage your vocal instrument. Happy singing 😁.

It would be so nice to hear him round his tone in his mid-voice instead of singing through the front of his face. I understand however, that it is not the style he is going for. Since you know the vocal mechanism so well I thought it would be fun to speak with someone who understands.

@@lorilemons8801 you are right, it is not the sound he is going for. He has his signature sound and is well loved and appreciated for how well he delivers his songs. He knows his vocal instrument very well and how to achieve different colours. He is intentional when he sings. He knows when to open up, lower the velum, modifies his vocal tract, as well as his respiratory muscles so well. He does all this seamlessly. He is an example!

This is definitely one of my favorites as it talks about the present, past, and future and in all of those moment our Gentle Savior has been there and will continue to be there. Life is very complicated right now as my husband is dealing with memory loss. This song and many others are such great and beautiful reminders that I am not alone on this journey. I am comforted by God and your music and beautiful voice every day. Thank you so much David. The beautiful song, sung with such genuine emotion touches the heart. Lovely delicate accompaniment. I notice KZfaq have blocked the auto-captions on so many songs these days. What a real shame for the captions make it possible for the deaf and hard of hearing to see the powerful lyrics we all hear. Captions can still be added by using open captions, which are burnt into the video. Worth a search as many use them to extend their audience..
