Only Trust Him was one of the songs at the top of my list while searching through countless hymns for this project. In my church, growing up, we often sang this one as an invitation to respond at the end of a worship service. Now, as an adult, I am deeply moved by the poetry and the depth of meaning as the song calls out to the weary offering rest. This was often sung at the end of our church services as an invitational hymn when I was a little girl. The old hymns actually preached the gospel story. I miss hearing them in churches today. 😊

I could listen to you sing the old hymns 24/7. In the Garden I cry all the way through it. It was my Moms favorite. I lost her when I was 10. Haven't seen her in 47yrs. So that song brings her to me. So THANK YOU DAVID. GOD BLESS

Sir. I have no words for the impact your voice has had on me. You are the finest singer I have ever heard!! Your spirit and compassion comes across the monitor and brings me to tears. You have made me sing again. I want to join a choir. Really. My voice has been too quiet. What a gift God has given you and He is glorified through it. Well done. I got up at 3am and turned you on. I can't stop listening to you. It is now 5am. My dad at 96years old passed away March 26th, 2021 and I played your No More Night at the graveside service. I was doing good up until your voice came on and I couldn't control the flood of tears. But perfect for the celebration of life for my dad as he struggled with his last breath but No More Tears, No More Pain...Hallelujah. My sister went to all the concerts and wow did I miss out. I never even heard of Gaithers or you for that matter. Being saved for only 9 years, I never grew up with the hymns but now I am getting my fill in. Please keep letting your voice out and fill the masses with your beautiful range. I can't stop giving thanks to the Lord for hearing you. Thankyou. Kelley Beck

Please, Please, Please do MORE Reactions to David Phelps!! You liked him so much in this video! He is a Great singer and also a Great Man!! We are going to go see him in concert in one month in Northern California and I cannot wait!! He is truly a humble person and after his concerts will stand at his table for hours to make sure Every person in the LONG line gets to see him, visit and take pictures with him! He will stand there for HOURS if need be!! Truly aGREAT Person and Performer!! He also writes many of his songs and a great music arranger!! Love him like my own son- who is almost David’s age. Being in a physical body we may have the sense of separation from each other but Jesus already knew the truth: on a spiritual level we are interconnected and we are all one, that's why he loved everybody. God is always within us and also outside of us, is everything that we see and don't see and most importantly God is Love, because only love can bring Unity. He will surely give us rest - I grew up singing hymns sitting at my mother's side on her piano bench while she played her upright piano - this brings such sweet memories - Thank you David - your ministry - has touched my spirit and many others I am sure - You are truly a delight until our God and using your gifts to give Him glory and honor must make Him smile - really BIG!
