I think arteta learnt when City battered us 4-1 last season that sometimes, hoofing the ball fowards with a strong striker & gk who can pass well is best, especially when teams press up high

We can use havertz height even if he doesn’t win the header to release saka Jesus and martinelli our midfielders can win the second ball declan rice and partey now with raya he’s passing and crosses are excellent so good buys overall arsenal are serious this year

Thats what I was thinking in the past, but City is really good at recovering the ball and transitioning it quickly into the opposition half. I think the best way to play against City is by saturating the middle and press up high from there by also having your CBs play a high line, but obviously you will need really good CBs for that. Saliba is perfect for this type of play, but Gabriel seems to be very prone to mistakes. When we tried to use Havertz for the long balls in the Community Shield game, he won only one in the whole game and they were easily controlling possession. It's only when we started playing Rice higher that we were getting more success with the possession and almost dominated the first half after the bad 20 minutes.

David "break that press" Raya...phenomenal with the ball at his feet...and excellent competition for Rambo. Arsenal really showing intent if this one crosses the line.

No top team switches gks that way. Gks need confidence and backing. Not rotation. If raya is our no 1, ramsdale leaves and vice versa

Raya will start when Arsenal play against high pressing teams like Man City. Ramsdale will play against counter attacking teams whom are happy to give up possession to Arsenal.

Extremely smart business by Arsenal. Raya will push Ramsdale this season and if he impresses we can trigger the buy option. If Ramsdale improves further to elite levels, it would have cost us just £3m to have a top keeper in reserve. Edu does it again 👏🏽

@@hinrei1986 absolutely, but our comment is saying if Ramsdale essentially wins the no 1 battle and we choose not to take up the buy option on Raya then it would have only cost £3m for a season of having a great backup keeper. Obviously this was when we signed Raya a few weeks ago, the picture looks to have changed slightly now!

Hey man. Cant be at a big club without competition. Ramsdale has not been as good as he should be for a while. Making silly mistakes, being sloppy distribution.Coaches took notice. He's still at the jolly happy to play phase. Arsenal are trying to move into the proffessional do your job properly and win phase now. If this deal happens 2 good players are gonna elevate their play. Better for the team.

True mate Rambo standard had not been as good as the first time he started when was tryimg to displace Leno,still remember those intricate line breaking pass that he was capable of,plus Rambo himself said that he love pressure and he ia the kind of guy who feeds on it to get to the next level,maybe this is how Arteta elevate Rambo

Yes, we totally agree, but you also have to recognize Ramsdale's strength. Ramsdale is better at catching than any one in the EPL, better reflexes that all the keepers

Though Brendford doesnot give him short passing option his ability to play out from the back while soaking up pressure with short passes is still questionable but his shot stopping and high ball claim from set pieces is pretty good for not so tall GK. Will be a good signing for Arsenal but will Arsenal cough up 40m?

So when are you going to produce a video about this season. David Raya, When making to many mistakes cost your club and fans the title, you can start it with the start 7 of 24 goals scored off of Raya mistakes. That's 29 % of goals scored against him were his fault.
