David Sanborn is the reason that I switched from clarinet to alto sax when I got to HS. There was something about his style of playing that got me really hyped up. I also played a few different models. I'll be 70 soon and purchased a new alto after hearing him again. My original and favorite was over 50 years old. May he Rest In Peace playing up in the heavens.

David, you will always be one of my most favorite players. Your style and swag, was dipped in bbq sauce, with a silky smooth honey glaze - after the 1st note, we KNEW it was YOU doc! You will be missed greatly, but thank you Brother for EVERY memory you've left with us. Nothing but love for you.... RIP. 🖤🐐#Pearls

I am sorry that you mentioned his "estimated" net worth. I feel that statement was unnecessary and inappropriate.

Mr Sanborn was an amazing individual sounding so individual sound. The British saxophone band leader John Robert Brown told me about him in the sixties. I love to watch his masterclass videos at Selmer’s in Paris He was a great ambassador for the Mark 6 saxophone. My prayers and condolences go to his wife. I believe they were very close. May The Lord Jesus Christ strengthen you Kathryn at this very difficult time. David was much loved and admired by many people. Bill. Uk 🙏🎷🎷

Now that he had migrated to the angelic ranks, Marcus Miller will make sure his music lives on. May he rest peacefully in the bosom of all great legends.

why is a harp noodling plai vanilla chords, while you talk about a late Saxophonist whose mere pure Sound could make me cry, IF I WOULD HEAR HIM?
