From what i read at that time most of the young teens had crew cuts and he had long hair and side burns and pretty well stood out from the others .He sure was not interested in fitting in. @Will-nn3pb

David Scott was a Montreal boy who came to our Elvis convention in 1978 in Montreal. His manager had him dress in a formal military uniform replicating Elvis in 1960. He looked impressive. This was just before he was contracted for the movie. He passed away in 1993 at the age of 31

He sounds nothing like Elvis, at the same time I see it as a second best version of Mystery Train after EP. Beautiful voice, kinda Ricky Nelson vibe, simple three accords guitar but perfectly kept tempo. And the guy looks literally like his son of Elvis. Beautiful clip, the whole documentary is on of the best on Elvis. I’m 34, watched it yesterday after many years. I forgot how sad it became in the end and I cried for few hours after watching it.

I remember a girl who sang 'Jesse James' in front of our 5th grade class...she was so good it froze everyone like statues...she looked at our faces...freaked out and quit... she also didn't return to our school and I always wondered if she became rich and famous.

I saw David a few years after this in "Legends in Concert" in Vegas. Not quite Elvis, but a pretty talented singer nonetheless. Unfortunate end. He couldn't quite live up to the early associations and resemblance he had to the real deal.

Roxanne Roxanne I was David's lead guitar player, band leader, and we became very close friends. I have pictures and there's a couple rare KZfaq videos out there of us. You are spot on about David believing he was Elvis Presley' son. He got one of Elvis' white jumpsuits, army jacket, ring, clothes, from Vernon, Elvis' father. This was shot before Vernon passed away and released later in 1981. David and I had the "I'm Elvis' son" talk and I can tell you that was not remotely possible because Elvis returned from Germany in early 1960 and David was born in 1962. As time passed David began to make this claim on stage during a show and I would comment over the microphone that his " mother was an elephant" if you understand the difference between a woman's pregnancy term versus an elephant. The more David told the "story" the more he thought it was real. His manager even told him to stop making this absurd claim on stage but David continued. I eventually quite and David kept asking me to come back but I didn't. When I was contacted and told about his passing and the events that led up to it, it broke my heart. RIP David, I think of you often and remember the great times we shared on stage and privately.

@@gwatson6082 I don't know how or why it took me a year to realize you replied to my comment. Thank you so much for the info. I've loved EP so long - I don't ever remember a time when I didn't :) I've always thought David did and awesome job in "This is Elvis". I honestly don't think anybody else could've done any better!
@gwatson6082
@gwatson6082 4 жыл бұрын
@@roxanneroxanne503 it's said that we all have a twin out there somewhere. David really looked a lot like Elvis, like you would expect his son would get his looks from his father. David was an inch taller than Elvis and in person you would think he was Elvis' son. He looked just like Elvis from the eyes to the nose and the lips. Someone contacted me several months ago and told me that he has irefutable medical evidence that proves David was in fact Elvis' son. He's working on a book. If it really is true all I can say is, what a tragedy that they never met and bonded as father and son. And according to some of the Memphis Mafia Elvis did sleep around a lot with a lot of women and they wouldn't be surprised if Elvis had a few kids out there somewhere. Until we see DNA proof I will remain a skeptic.
