@@Matt-cl1by diplomacy does sometimes involve saying things whose correlation with the objective universe may be numerically diminutive but it's all he could say, you can't "no comment" a question like that without giving the insult you're trying to avoid & besides who cares, everyone can see for themselves that bidden is senile, we weren't exactly relying on luxon's testimony

Trump did not say there would be "blood in the streets" - he was talking about taxes, tariffs and the large plant being built in Mexico by China, he said he would put tarriffs on imports, and that there would be a bloodbath if he was not elected.

Correct, he was literally talking about the American automotive industry if china was able to build cars for the American market in Mexico, that it would be a blood bath for the for the US Car building industry if he isnt elected where he would do everything he could to stop it by placing huge tariffs on foreign companies trying it and huge taxes for dealers supporting it withing the US.

Regarding the presenter and her view of rhetoric in the USA , I would say somewhat biased against Trump - what about the rhetoric of Maxine Walter, Chuck Shummer, Nancy Pelosi, AOC and Biden!!

The interviewer was flat out wrong. Trump never said blood in the streets. He said bloodbath and he was referring to an economic outcome NOT human. Interviewer, you may gain some credibility if you don't misrepresenting other people.

He was talking about trade tariffs with mexico and if that he would reinstitute as the democrats had removed them and if he did get elected it would be a blood bath for the automotive industry. Listen to the whole sentence and don't paraphrase out of context comments.

@@stuartdouce I already know that. But it shows the flaw in MMP in 2 ways. Too many non elected MPs (list mps) and mps having disproportionate power (eg seymour/peters). It also makes too much room for unelected lobbyists as opposed to representatives of the people. Eg Shane Jones for fisheries, Hoggard for animal welfare. Seymour is just a vote whore -his stance on live exports is simply unethical.
