The "pilot carrying his keys" joke was legit hilarious
@MMCLLC73 жыл бұрын
@Cameron Cash Hopkins the joke hinges on common knowledge that when you're tryna park your car, you might look for somebody carrying their keys which means they're about to pull out of their spot and you can take it. The joke is creating a parallel between car drivers like us and pilots. The predicament of not being able to park is very much common in cars and not so much in planes. So it's funny to imagine that the pilot, when put in that situation, would act like we do when we're driving cars and thus doing something like following a pilot with the keys to their plane. Also what adds to the overall comedy is the fact pilots of commercial planes don't actually have keys to the planes. They turn them on in a much more complicated way.

Fucking hilarious. David says that the grumpy drunk stage guy told him to not look at Johnny and come right back to the curtain so when Johnny waved him over his missed it. He was so nervous that he was down in the dressing room, with his shirt off and about to swallow swigs of Pepto when there was a knock on the door. He opens it up shirtless with the Pepto and there is Johnny with Doc and Martin Short to tell him he did a great job. David referring to the Pepto told them he was nervous and Johnny said, "I'm trying to quit that" before throwing some accolades his way. I thought that was a great story, the fact that Johnny made the trip to let David know what a great job he did.

rough start, the 1st jokes about being 12, his mom etc didnt really connect, I imagine they killed in the clubs since he OPENED with them. Thats gotta be nerve wracking! 1st time on CARSON, 10 secs in and it's not working whew. He hung in there and won 'em over. You can see he's not too happy at the end. His best stuff was when he was himself in between jokes. Much respect to pull it off at what 24? Dude's had a 30 year career.

@@thedonofthsht76-58 True, but they laugh at every joke on the Carson show, over and over for decades....cuz it 's a laff track.
