Time for all Mets fans to be optimistic about the future. Building the farm system, which is already looking so much better, is the best way to be real good in the future. If it all works out it will be fun to watch.

We have an owner and a GM that are real Mets fans. Things will work out for us and we will have a great team and organization. Please give them space to make it happen. Talking to all the negative people out there shielded by a keyboard……. Go Mets!!!!!!

Counsell is from Wisconsin. His family still lives in Wisconsin. He can live in Wisconsin and commute to Chicago. Why would he come to New York?

That comment was specifically about Counsell going to Chicago-a team that already had a decent manager under contract, with not a single rumor they were looking to replace him. He made it very clear that he knew there were other teams on Counsell’s radar.

STEARNS BETTER GET HIS ACT TOGETHER AND EXTEND ALONSO, THEN GO AFTER FREE AGENTS LIKE YAMAMOTO, SNELL, NOLA AND JOSH HADER.BECAUSE THE METS' PITCHING STAFF IS VERY THIN.
