He could have easly told the guy to p*** off and go away, since how inapropriate the situation was, but instead, he thought that if the man was unable to see just how missplaced it was, then he just had to play along with it, and actually signed that autograph... It's a very rare trait to have.

I feel like it's much rarer in the US, yes, than it is in at least some other countries... I remember spending time in London when I was younger and noticing that you could pick the American out of every crowd of random strangers because Americans always act like sheer volume, rudeness and bluster is a competitive sport lol.

Well, he started acting because he wanted to be the Doctor one day. Not only did he achieve that, he is also one of the more popular actors to have that role. To him, he achieved everything he wanted. Everything else is mostly just a hobby at this point, I'd wager.

I don’t understand how David remains so calm in any situation. And the rationale of ‘If this person doesn’t think what they’re doing is weird, then I shouldn’t’ is very brave in this world. I mean, the stuff he gets asked to do that he doesn’t even think is crazy is at least 1 mile long. He’s a guy where you could ask for his jacket or shoes and he’d actually give you his jacket and shoes with no qualms.

The reason that David Tennant makes a great bad guy is because he is genuinely such a nice guy in real life. Some of the scariest movie or tv villains were comedians or all around good people. Just look at Robin Williams in Insomnia.
