Want to know how to install, configure and setup GNS3 2.2? Well, these videos show you how. In this video, I show you how to integrate the GNS3 VM with the GNS3 GUI, setup Intel VTX in your computer's BIOS and make sure nested virtualization is enabled. Follow these steps to make sure you can get your GNS3 network working in preparation to run Cisco devices such as Cisco VIRL appliances on GNS3.
In subsequent videos I'll show you how to download Cisco IOS images and use them in GNS3.

Hi David I have a problem with my GNS3 in fact when I start it, it cannot synchronize with my computer to be able to use the resources of my computer but it shows me this message saying that "could not connect to 127.0 .0.1 on port: (WinError 10061) No connection could be established because the target computer expressly refused it. Please! can you give me the solution? please really

David Please update 7:21, where you talk about VMware player. VMware workstation pro is now available free for personal use. It's the recommended option.

I had issues to get the vm LED go green on me. I spent hours reading about it on the gns3 community but could not get it to turn on green. I ended up uninstalling and starting fresh. The only thing I changed was after installing the GUI, I enable the gns3vm before downloading the GNS3 VM and it worked. Don't know why but I am thankful for this video. If you get a chance you may want to address that issues. I think lots of folks run into it. Regards Ben

I have tried to get this to work 2 seperate times on 2 seperate machines, and being a novice, self-taught hobbiest, I'm on the 3ed video and the errors in immediately noticed I honestly dont know how I made what i did work. Your sir are a godsend.

Thank you for this video. You clearly explained how to set up and use the GNS3 VM with the GNS3 client. I tried setting this up on my Mac in the past, but did not understand the interoperation of the client and the GNS3 VM (using Fusion), and the instructions provided by GNS3 are not very thorough. I’ll give this a try and hopefully have success.

Thanks David, i'm following from last six month, and now i watched this video six time and found our solution is to there is port issue with my vm showing that is 80 and doing mistake in GNS3 VM setting default was different. So issue resolved to correct port no. 80 on both GNS3 VM setting and VMware.

Just want to address, if no one has pointed this out, I am running GNS3, VMWare Fusion on Mac Os X Catalina (latest as of July 27,2020). I had an issue with GNS3 not displaying a 'green' light under the server summary for the corresponding VM. On VMWare Fusion, I went into Configure, and noticed the port was set to 80. Changed the port to 3080 and save/write those changes. This fixed my issue. It took me three hours, reinstalling everything. Googling.
