Can u knock out that line clipper over comb with the one closed or does it have to be one open?

Lever open or with a #1 guard closed

do you go up 1/4 of an inch every time you gradually open the lever? or go up 1/4 of an inch once you set in a new guideline

Do you know how to clipper over comb? That’s what I do. But you can also use your guards to de bulk.
