The slap baseline layered in the back track makes the ukulele more funky. Still a great ukulele playing but he def used the back track to make it more bass like.

Godlike, lol 🤣 Wrong channel, I think that would be Charles Berthoud. This is a meme channel, not a music channel. If Pewds doesn't give Davie a shoutout, he would have a normal job now. Don't get me wrong, I think Davie is a wonderful human being and I think it is awesome how he gives exposure to the smaller youtubers, but "godlike" is the wrong word. All of his videos are edited, I understand that he fakes the double bass, fretless bass, violin, erhu, contrabass for the sake of a good video, but as we never see him playing the bass without backing track and heavy editing, we will never know how "godlike" his bass playing actually is.

@@buskergirl fakes and edits are not the same thing. Charles Berthoud is excellent, but has the same style of editing and back tracking his music. No need to tear Davie down man.

@@richardtraviolia5582 There is no tearing down in my comment, I did give kudos to him and I'm also liking and commenting on his vids, aren't I. I get that he can play the bass, but just because he is the biggest bassist on YT, it doesn't mean that he is the best in the world. He is OK. With Charles, for a long time I thought he edits the hell out of his vids, or at least he does many takes, he was simply too good to be real. But then he did a livestream, and my mind was blown. His playing was the same without any editing. I kept commenting on Davie's videos to do a livestream, it never happened, but I am really curious how he sounds unedited.

This guy has so many minor details which just magnifies his persona at so many levels. The fact that he disliked his own video is one of those few elements as well as this video being just 4:20 minutes long. I have got used to him slapping and me reacting the same way. If anyone is interested in how to play it, here is my attempt. (He tuned the lowest string from C to B) -The first funky chords: x322 - x221 - x775 - x554 (lick on the first string 4h5 0) -Second funky chords: x879 - x535 - Obviously it's not everything, these are only the main strumming parts. I really hope that this can be useful for somebody, this is so good!

I was too sad when I couldn't watch anymore of your videos when my mom died during the 12th of December last year. I was stuck with a bad person and wasn't happy because my life was a lie. I can't really say too much bc this is the internet, but I was stuck with this bad person who was my step dad...and it was difficult to get away because I still cared. When I probably should have not. My life was depressing before that, but you're videos have helped me. I love your music and video editing, jokes and style. Very cool. I thank you. The most powerfull thing of this is the bass sound in the background. OMG! I have been following Davie since he was abount 12M subs. He is now close to 13M (12.9 M at the moment)

Could be a few things, maybe the cammera is recording in a certain frequency and combined with the frequency on the string it gives that visual effect, because I can assure you, is vibrating faster than that, or maybe is slow motion.
