Was just giving a 1995 4Runner free from the church next door to me free for all the help I've given them repairing the church they bought about a year ago. Started it up yesterday ran great. :)

My dad had a 91 back when I was like 11 and I thought it was just a simple truck that was cool you know. When he sold it I was pretty shocked but now I regret not telling him to not sell it because it was so beautiful. It was white with those blue stripe stickers with the “Toyota” logo on the grill. Such a beautiful and reliable vehicle.

My mom still has her 1991 Toyota 4Runner. V6 5 speed manual. 250k miles. I plan on starting a project on it soon.

I would love to get my 92 v6 4runner in this kind of shape, but I don't think I ever will. Even if I had the money and time, I consider it to be the kind of vehicle you take out to the mud and gravel to get dirty, not the kind you keep looking pretty. I'd say this is eye candy, and it is, but in this particular kind of vehicle it's much sweeter to me to see that it's being taken out to have some fun! Edit: It's super cool to see what a somewhat modded new vehicle would look like from 1995 though, spotless and in it's prime!

I can´t believe it... this is art, beautiful and high quality art. When i was younger for me the 90s 4runner where just a meh, now i´m crazy for them, i´m going to buy one as soon as i can.

Beautiful restoration! I just bought a 95 4Runner SR5 4WD from the original owner with 225K miles for $400. It's not running though due to overheating and blown headgasket but it also got lots of maintenance records and it also in very good condition. Sadly, I don't have the resource to make this kind of restoration so I'm putting back on Craigslist to someone who can take better care of her. Mine is Blue with the sport stripes and beautiful cloth interior just like this one.

@@sketch3108 I'm in San Jose, CA. I posted on Craigslist and it got picked up by a local 4Runner Restoration garage for $1200. Would have kept if only I can do the work myself. The guys said he'll offer to sell it back to me for $3500 when all the work is completed, if I m insterested.

The head gaskets are fairly easy to replace. Use the mls (multi layered steel gaskets) and get new head bolts. My biggest suggestion is getting a set of headers for it to get rid of the stock crossover pipe exhaust. That stock exhaust is the main reason for the head gasket failure and cause my people to trash these 2nd generation runners. I have 2 2nd gens and I don’t ever plan on selling them. I built my 95 myself in my back yard garage and my 94 I have much bigger plans for (3.4 supercharged swap with the 5 speed manual swap at the same time). Let me know how things go for you bud

mikki regalado LCE sells a set of headers that I would definitely recommend. You have to do an egr delete which will make for an ever better running 3.0. The delete kit is about 20 bucks plus shipping and the headers run anywhere from 6 to 700 bucks

Nice! I'll get my 90 2Door Runner in the same shape someday...only with a 1UZ (the engine Toyota should have used instead of the 3.SLOW).

I have a issue with oil pressure indicator that can not move up (still lower as the engine off) when the engine is on.. Do you have suggestion what part I must change with the new one and what happen if I am not change the part. As Info, until 270 km my surf can move with no issue, just oil pressure issue. Thanks for feedback info.🙏

Hi David, recently I bought a Toyota 4 runer from 1995 automatic but I have a doubt since when I am in parking and put it in D, it gives like legs or pulls but it is only when I put it in d because when running the truck works very well already eh sent to check and they tell me that everything is fine so I want to know if it is normal or needs something to fix

Same here. Emailed them 2x about having them restore a Toyota for me. Ive even called 3x and left voice mails. I have the vehicle close by them right now getting a diesel swap done.

Where do you get all of those body parts from? Engine stuff is easy to find, but stuff like fenderflares, bumper covers, window molds, weather stripping... would be helpful to know where to find this stuff for our own rebuilds.

your RPM is a little high for a 4runner. it shouldn't be that high going that speed.

Destroyed this 4Runner with ugly wheels. You need an ARB Roof Rack and a snorkel. Please watch some Australian videos on Utube before you restore an 4Runner(Hilux).
