The third round of the FA Cup nearly sees an upset as non-league Blyth Spartans take a 2-0 lead against Birmingham City.
The travelling Blues fans famously take their frustrations out on Blyth goalkeeper Peter Jeffries on the way to a 3-2 victory.

Good little vid this like. Aye, Pete Jeffries got a bit of stick but hey that's what ganns on. We give it out every game. What people don't seem to get is that this was the 8th fa cup game the spartans had played this year, and just getting to the 3rd round was a massive achievement. Tell you what though kidda, you lot were pretty damn quiet for the first half!! ;-) A good set of vids you've got, keep up the good work. (Croft Park Faithful, proud supporters of the world's most famous nonleague side.)

I woke up late in the morning and caught the second half on Blues Radio. The legendary Tom Ross was calling the play by play. He's Blues through & through. It was a treat to listen to Tom Ross.

I live in Blyth and yes it is that bad. The Seafront and South Beach are great areas. But Cowpen, The Avenues and Chestnut are the equivalent to Compton. Not to mention that 60 percent of the shops in the Town Center are charity shops or corner shops. Tough times for most of the UK though. Hopefully in a few generations Blyth can be one of the leading port industry towns like it used to be in the 80's

Part of football, the goalkeeper praised the fans after the match. If you expect football fans to go to matches sit on their thumbs and be nice and polite you're in the wrong game
