I'm a Londoner, QPR in fact, but I like Birmingham City, there a real club, real supporters. I remember being in New Street Train station back in January 1983, Rangers had played at the Hawthornes in the cup. I was on my way back to London when over 400 Zulus came through the train station it was impressive. Some were white, some black, they were all colours . I've never forgotten that

Thats because London is the financial centre of Europe, if not the World, i reckon bigger and better than Wall St, New York, evryone having aspirations of working in money and finance wants to go to London. People talk shit there are nice areas in both cities, but of course 'the smoke' is bigger. Thatfootball chant is just that, it's chanted at whatever town/cityyour team plays in, mainly to wind the locals up.

We are tolerant as Londoners. We have accepted diversity in our City but we have to draw the line somewhere. Legislation needs to be drafted to stop this. Letting people from Birmingham into our City is political correctness gone mad!!!!

Only 2 teams ever came to The OLD DEN in numbers ( WHU/Spurs) and Birmingham never showed there. The atmosphere THEN was 10 times more fervent and passionate and all approaches to the old ground were perilous to say the least....

Forgetting 1992 are you? We were reminiscing with a couple of your old heads at the FLA march about it so don't bother denying it. Of course West Ham and Spurs took more consistent numbers to the Old Den, they're your local rivals. Villa and Wolves have always brought bigger numbers to St Andrews than you lot. Doesn't make them better firms. Millwall will always have my respect. Always game for it and always there with England.

Chelsea had a big turnout at the old ground in 89/90. I think I'm right in saying that only two mobs have ever had a pop at the CBL end back then. West ham for Harry Cripps testimonial and Chelsea early in the 76/77 season. They got annihilated as they never had anything like the numbers to stay put. Sometimes reputations are made or enhanced with madcap suicide missions. 8-)

Lots of prats in the comment section who started watching football in 2010 by the looks of it. Good old fashioned football day out where both sets of fans played their part. Spoke to some of Millwall's old heads at the FLA march and again caught up with one on Saturday who had nothing but good things to say about us. If you weren't at London Bridge on the day don't comment. Healthy respect between the two for times gone by and for the fact that we both take game mobs everywhere we go. Yes we got undone big time at London Bridge in 1990 but any firm out there claiming never to have got undone in the heyday has lost the plot. Wall since then has always been and always will be the first fixture I look for when we're in the same league. You can say Villa this and Villa that but the next time they properly show at St Andrews will be the first.

phil james Fair dos pal, I'm only going on what I heard. Different stories float about on things like this. I'd heard from the Wall lads I know that they were out for you at Broadwater Farm. I'd never slag your lot as a firm either way, always brought a game mob to St Andrews back in the 80s and in the early Premier League years. The opposite of Arsenal. Makes me wonder how you two are even from the same city.

As a Millwall fan who first went in 1962 I have to say and West Ham and Spurs. I fear major trouble at Wembley tonight as you just can not police vast areas of the journey and outside the stadium.I fear the worst.....

Millwall were only allowed 3,000 and they were Season Ticket Holders . I went to Spurs after a capacity of 41,000 turned up at The Old Den in Jan '67 in the 3ed Round FA Cup ( I could not get in ) . It finished 0/0 then went to WHL and 73,000 turned up for the replay and 15,000 locked out. All of SE London seemed to be there and there was NO segregation. One of the bst atmospheres ever with Spurs winning that replay 1/0 with a late goal.

Millwall, Spurs and Birmingham have always turned up at ours (Cardiff). Birmingham brought one of the biggest firms of lads I've ever seen. Nothing happened that day but the amount of lads was up there with the biggest I've seen. Turned us over in Canton a few years ago too and there's not many who can say that. Millwall never had massive numbers, but the respect between our 2 firms goes without saying. Awesome on their day. As for Spurs, had a few good cup meetings off the pitch both home and away. All in all, all 3 are a match for anyone on their day. Think Millwall edge it though...
