Perfect, a new Blood Hunter... Now I can finally make my Fallen Aasimar Profane Soul Bloodhunter/Assassin Rogue/Hexblade Warlock/Vengeance Paladin build.

I’m surprised there was no Vampire related Bloodhunter Order Edit: Actually, a neat way to make this happen is by this- Vampires need to feed on blood in order to keep them sustained and at full power. So, this archetype would make you sacrifice your own blood to temporarily give yourself vampiric abilities, like how a Vampire draws on the blood of others to empower their own abilities. This could mean taking some damage to turn into mist or a bat, or offering your blood to a beast in order to control them, and of course the classic “hurting someone else to heal you” ability. That could be interesting to use. The whole theme of Bloodhunters is “fighting the monster by becoming the monster”, so a vampire hunter with some minor vampiric abilities could work real well.

Idea: Shifter, lycan bloodhunter+beast barbarian multclass, ultimate werewolf

I've found that order of the mutant is a great way to play a splicer from Bioshock. I'm currently playing a goliath fighter/blood hunter, basically a medieval big daddy

One of the favorite concepts that I have with this class is a Monk/Order of the Lycan Blood Hunter. Since in your Hybrid form you can apply your Crimson Rite to your unarmed strikes, you can deal crazy good damage when combined with Flurry of Blows

Funny thing, part of my campaign goes into a timeline that is sorta Dark Souls/MtG’s Innistrad inspired, and a group of NPCs is a Lycan Bloodhunter order. Some are your typical edgelords, but others are either new recruits who want to help others, some were cursed with the lycanthropy and joined so they can control it(again to provide aid to others, but also because they like the power it gives them). Then there’s a few that went full beast, perma-hybrid or full beast form at all times that act as scouts, scholars, and occasionally teach or provide aid to the youngest members of the order. They work closely with two churches- That of the afterlife and stars, and that if disease, necromancy, and the Eclipse, so they get steady aid from clerics of both Death and Grave domains.

If I ever do a D&D campaign I’m 1000% going Blood Hunter because of how much I love Bloodborne

I had a good idea for me and one other friend to do if their okay with it. I give them a premise character sheet. A blood hunter named Geralt who was specifically made to have stats that match him and then give them a campaign that’s literally the Witcher games. Make them play the Witcher in dnd

Just started a curse of strahd campaign as a blood hunter, so far I really love the abilities. I plan on being an order of the mutant who makes a lot of potions and crazy experiments like a mad scientist

I made a interesting condition to go with this: mass bleeding: when the damage type is: piercing, slashing, bludgeoning or force and, a critical hit is rolled, or the damage rolled for that attack was the maximum. The mass bleeding deals 1d8 damage per round until treated with med kit potion or spells, magical items or innate magic abilities will also work.

Minor correction: Profane Soul Blood Hunters are actually considered 1/3 casters, like Eldritch Knights and Arcane Tricksters, rather than Half-Casters like Paladins Rangers and Artificers. With this, there are now *3* Int-based 1/3 casters if your DM allows Matt’s Blood Hunter! *“At least it’s not Charisma based!”*

As someone who wants to play a Wildhunt Shifter Blood Hunter (Order of the Lycan), I approve of the new direction

I know Davvy does it as a joke But there are some people out there that seriously extremely dislike Homebrew But really people should just be allowed to flex their creative muscles and even though They might make some stupid overpower stuff. There are those out there that make really good Homebrew. That's a very balanced, fun and interesting.

Zariel tiefling + profane soul of the fiend + green flame blade + flames of pleletegros + rite of the flame, you and your sword are constantly aflame using hellfire and blood Magic, People who hit you take fire damage and you get to reroll bad damage rolls a lot, especially with great weapon fighting. Starting at 7th level casting green flame blade is much better than extra attack dis to your bonus action attack, it is great

Every time you bring up any Ghost related stuff, I'm being fangirling about it.

I love the Warlock, Sorcerer and Blood Hunter class. One thing that you "seem to get wrong" (only in your description) is that as a Profane Soul Blood Hunter you do get access to Eldritch Blast (Without the possibility of using the Eldritch Invocation: Agonizing Blast - Which you are unable to access using the current Unearthed Arcana feat "Eldritch Adept", since it is restricted to the Warlock class specifically). That being said Eldritch Blast is still very powerful and using cantrips like Green-Fire Blade, Booming Blade and Eldritch Blast in conjunction with your level 7 Mystic Frenzy - Blood Hunter Feature your will find yourself having a very versatile way of dealing damage. Playing around with Feats like Aberrant Dragonmark and Wizard Ritual casting you really become quite powerful. Also choose the Undying as your patron, so that you gain more health for you blood curses

It is known (as far as I know) that the ritual to become a bloodhunter can sometimes claim the life of the one that undertakes it. Mary is (or was, depends on who you ask) one of the people that undertook it and was in turn slain by it. Explosively as a matter of fact. But mama didn't raise no quitter! So she held on to life and clawed her way back and as it turns out, even if the ritual kills you, that doesn't mean it don't still work as intended. And with these new prowess she has taken up the path of hunting undead, what with her now having a.... Uniquely advantageous position to get in the mindset of her chosen quarry. She is. The Ghost Ghostslayer Bloodhunter!

I play a half elf bloodhunter who joined the organization because he wanted to keep his parents (who he absolutely adores and is like a big kid around them) safe from monsters. He became a lycan because the person who recruited him suggested it. finally his parents fully support him and love that he is doing work that makes him happy. Xeo essentially has all the trappings of an edgy character (gruff voice and all) but is a sweet person who genuinely cares for people if you can get passed the gruff exterior.

I will saw that I some folklore, ghosts do have a sort of yellow-ish blood. Not ectoplasm, but European alchemists bf believed the through distillation of human blood, blood of the spirit could be extracted. (Blood basically broke down during the process and caused it to turn yellow.)

This is only made worse by CritRole releasing Valentines cards with Molly's saying "You're dead sexy." And I hate you for pouring that gallon of salty lemon juice into the funnel taped to my open wound.

Blood Hunter seems more like a blitzer, bushwhacker, duelist, or hit & run specialist. Someone who can do a lot of focused damage really quick, then run (or die). A human(oid) missile.

Blood hunters have proficiency in shields. Maybe they didn't in the old version but 2020 version, shields make total sense for them as far as I'm aware.

shifter lycan bloodhunter multiclass with either path of the beast barbarian or bearbarian is scary
