General principles when faced with a supposed scientific error/contradiction in the Qur'an: 1) The Qur'an is not a scientific textbook, rather it's a book of guidance for mankind. 2) Science or scientific theories never reach 100% absolute certainty. 3) Science or scientific theories change and have been known to change and update. 4) Science is limited in its scope and capacity as it relies on human beings with their finite intellect and a minimal set of imperfect senses. 5) Science cannot prove/disprove matters of the Unseen as it only deals with the physical realm. 6) Science is not the only way to arrive at the truth, and neither is scientific evidence regarded as the only type of evidence. 7) The Qur'an is a book of absolute truth and reality, it never changes and has never changed, and it is from none but the Almighty Creator Who is the All-Knowing, the All-Wise, the All-Powerful, the Most Great.

Another view of this verse of the Qur'an is where Allah speaks of the reproductive fluid gushing forth from BETWEEN THE BACKBONE AND THE RIBS is speaking of the SEMEN. The fluid that contains minerals and proteins and mixes with spermatozoa during ejaculation. SEMEN is produced n the prostate which is positioned BETWEEN THE BACKBONE AND THE RIBS just as Allah says n the Qur'an

What about the Sympathetic Nerve Trunk explanation? It situated between the backbone and ribs and responsible to trigger involuntary muscle movement such as, heart beat, breathing, digestion and perhaps ejaculation. Is it valid points?

It takes a Muslim mind to understand and discern the scientific miracles in the Quran. The worst thing you can do to any child is to tell the child to memorize a book written by God-Any book! First off, saying it's not talking about where it's produced isn't clear because in arabic it has the word يخرج and it can refer to where things get produced just like the word اخراج having the possibility to mean production, it doesn't exclusively mean exit or where things come out from, so that point is an acrobatic play on word to justify the scientific error but it isn't clear if what you're saying is true, if I understand it to be production, what evidence from tafsir or the dictionary would make you more right than me? Also there are instances in the Quran where خرج means creation which is synonym to production, if we take yunus 31 for example, god said he created the already living from the dead and vice versa, he used the word يخرج here, does it mean god made exit for the already living from the dead? Nope it means create, and it even is translated that way, so saying that it means make an exit is an acrobatic attempt and it's not the most objective interpretation of the word. The second thing, babies in the wombs are placed in between the spine and the belly not spine and the chest, because babies are placed at the belly and the spine is parallel to the belly or abdomen, which means that if we allow the first point to be true just for hypothesis sake, babies still don't come from the place the Quran is referring to: If we define space between 2 things, it means what's potentially within two parallel objects, and they're bound by the proportions of the smaller object in terms of length. Lets have an example, the sun and earth for example, we know that mercury has a fixed path and it travels between the sun and earth, but do galaxies or stars that are located at the horizontal axis at a point between the sun and earth but below the earth and the sun in terms of the vertical axis, can we claim that these stars or galaxies are "between" the earth and the sun? The answer is no, because they exist out of the bounds where the sun is parallel to earth and the vertical length of the earth, even if it was below the earth and it has no fixed path that travels vertically to within that parallel space betweeb earth and sun it would still be not between the earth and the sun. Another example easier than this, imagine you have a transparent water bottle, and you look from the water hole at the top of the bottle to see what's inside the bottle, and get a ball that can get inside the bottle, if you put a ball inside the bottle and you look at it, you can validly claim that the ball is in between the bounds of the bottle since it exists inside it, but what if you take the ball out and put it on the floor so that it's at the same point as the bottle but below it and not inside it, the ball wouldn't exist inside the bounds of the bottle and these bounds don't extend vertically to the bottom because the bottle is transparent and you can see through it, therefore the ball isn't inside the bottle, which is common sense and can't be disproven. And here it said the bounds are between the ribs and the spine, so it should be bounded by the space where the spine and the ribs are parallel, and it can't extend past the vertical or horizontal lengths of the ribs, because that would mean the ribs aren't there in the first place for the object to be considered between ribs and the spine, and babies are located between the spine and abdomen, which still doesn't make sense and it's not between the ribs and the spine, because the ribs has no vertical or horizontal length that extends to the area where babies are for babies to be considered inside them. Third point about the verses meaning that humans were sperm and gushing means propelling which meant the quran predicting sperm tails, but then saying the next verse is talking about the human when it's a fetus in the womb. Where is the change or transformation from semen or allegedly sperm into a baby in the womb highlighted in the verse? It doesn't clearly state what you've said and it's just a theory you have. And if we allow it for argument sake, babies still don't come from between the ribs and the chest. And the quran was mentioning semen not sperm because arabians didn't even know semen has sperm, and it's not rocket science level prediction that semen gushes because there are people that had sex and saw it happen, and claiming that the verse is talking about sperm tail has no basis in reality since it said water not sperm in arabic, and the quran not explaining to arabians that semen has sperm, so it should mean semen because that's what is being expressed in the verse by water because that's a way arabians expressed semen, they expressed it as water or a little bit of water. So it can't have talked about sperm tails, it just talked about water flowing or gushing, which is talking about semen gushing which isn't a prediction it's a well-known fact throughout all history. And if anyone wants to check for my claim that arabians didn't understand or know sperm, go to old dictionaries that study how they understood words and you'll see that they just knew semen and the Quran didn't explain sperm for it to mean sperm. So the verse clearly states that humans come from water gushing from between the ribs and the spine. And we know that is factually incorrect because there's no reproductive fluid that gushes between the ribs and the spine. Why saying "reproductive fluid"? Because the verse states humans come out of it, so it can't be a normal fluid like drinking water for example because humans don't come out of it, the only liquids that can do that are reproductive fluids. Which don't exist there. So even if we hypothetically allow your shaky arguments and interpretation that's based on a theory that has no objective evidence, it still doesn't make sense and your interpretation still expresses a scientific error that babies come from between the ribs and spine, which makes it worse. Verses like these and lies of the tafseers are what is making me consider leaving Islam, if these are the words of a real God, they can't be that false, I'm relying on finding a valid explanation for this, but if I don't I can't put up with living a lie. And please take your own advice, and look at the "language" and "science", I hate when these "scholars" think they've the "intellectual" high ground, when what they say doesn't make any logical sense. And then he cries when the other guy says he's crazy, I don't agree with the behavior of that person, but you've just demonstrated something that minorly justifies his actions. And then you have other muslims attacking other religions and claiming they're deluded and they're geniuses, when they're no different than them, hypocrisy at its finest.

I've listened to this explanation from Mansur before. I have a medical background and I don't agree with his interpretation. The best clarity for these verses was given by EF Dawah's Dr Imran on more than one occasion. He beautifully linked the Quran's linguistic nuances to our contemporary understanding of the reproductive process. Imran's explanation is faultless while all other attempts to address the Christian critique of these passages are based on unconvincing conjecture.

2 possible interpretations of this ayah: 1) It is talking about the human being, so the subject continues to follow “man” who is told to observe what they were created from. First the fluid emitted, second the time man spends in the womb between the ribs and backbone (aka the lower Abdomen) 2) It is talking about where the emitted fluid comes from. It refers to the proto-testes when we’re a fetus which is located within the area between the ribs and the backbone (aka the lower abdomen) before being inferior to the kidneys by the end of development and within a few months our testes “drop” (descend) from this position to our scrotum.

This guy looks like northern african people. He can be either an algerian or egyptian christian 🤔.

If Christian’s think that their position was the right way, why do you feel the need to interrupt conversations consistently? So insecure that someone else might be speaking sense.

We know the differences amongst the various Daee at the park. But what I want to mention that the mutual respect that Br Hashim Br Mansur and Br Shamsi have for one another is really admirable. This video more so of the 30 year consistency claim by the old man is just a small piece of that.

Testicles are firstly formed in between the ribs and backbone and it slides down in it's current place in certain time but it keeps taking it's nutrition from it's origin which is between back bone and ribs just like the Quran said and if it takes it's nutrition from there then by default sperms are getting it's nutrition from there and you can search for this scientific fact yourself.

Am happy Mansur got the correct explanation. For too long muslims defended the fact that it was the semen that it was talking about.
