DAWN and Jessi are both under PSY’s label P Nation. With DAWN’s girlfriend HyunA also in the label. DAWN and HyunA used to be in another label (Cube) together but when they publicised their relationship they both got kicked out. And PSY being a g saw the potential in DAWN and obviously HyunA was already a big artist signed them in to the same label. There’re quite a few smart shoutouts in this song. “I’m psycho like PSY bro” referring to their boss “Bubble pop senorita always by my side” referring to HyunA’s song bubble pop, which tbh is the biggest flex ever (cuz HyunA is the ultimate kpop sexy icon) Jessi also refers to bubble pop Then she says “HyunA told her to make that booty drop” And not relating to P Nation Jessi also shouts out to JaeSeok who is the biggest tv show host in kr and they have a running meme when Jessi does sth outrageous he says “comon Jessi”

Rehana Motilall yess exactly he has such a huge stage presence and he doesn’t get out shined by the featuring artists. And the way P Nation make their music blends the featuring artist and the artist together so well. It’s just a whole mood. Also Dawn is not appreciated enough, so underrated smh

tbh i didn't like that beat switch too, but after a few listens it got better for me. jessi's "hEy DaWn, WhAt'S gOiNg On ?¿?" literally haunted me at 3am, so i had to listen to it more often 😔 buuut i really appreciate your honesty !! we really need more honest reactors like you !! :)

I love this song! Its so incredibly catchy. I get that some don't like the shift when Jessi comes in, but I personally love it. I think she is in it though, to generate interest and views. People know who she is, but not many know who Dawn is. I have noticed that many reactors are watching it because of Jessi but become interested and blown away by Dawn's talent. She wants him to shine in his song, so while she is in it, she doesn't want to overshadow him. This song is meant to be catchy and fun and to introduce Dawn to people. There are also so many fantastic personal references in it!

I think far more people like Jessi's part than dislike, judging from the MV comments. I actually think Jessi's part came in really well and is really catchy. The switch works for me as it keeps the song from getting too repetitive and therefore dull. That all said, I appreciate your honesty and like when reactors aren't blown away by every song they hear, even if I do like it. Everyone has different tastes. I, myself, dislike a ton of Kpop, particularly currently popular ones.

I always appreciate when reactors are honest about what they like and don’t like, cause like you don’t have to enjoy every song from your favourite artist. I stan both Jessi and Dawn, but it’s almost like this song didn’t need Jessi, it just didn’t fit her vibe tbh. But I still like the song tho :)

Personally I like her in it. I think the main reason she is in it though is to get people to check it out. Then, because Dawn is incredibly talented ...many have wanted to know more about him. I think she helped him to get noticed. A lot of reactors know who she is, but not who he is.

I think her presence was a good thing but I think the part she had to do was not worthy of her talents. If her part flowed in synchronicity with Dawn's, it would have been fire....but it looked like it was tacked on.

He used to be in a group called Pentagon. He was on a label called Cube. Hyuna, another artist, was on the label. They got involved with one another and the label was not having it. They kicked him out of the group and then kicked him and Hyuna out. This set them on the path to join Psy's lable PNation which also gobbled up Jessi. PSY is an artist in his own right and now he is building his own kingdom. It's exciting because PSY is giving his artists room to be creative and themselves.

I honestly feel the same XD it kinda grew on me the more I listened though. But Jessi still has her own fire songs anyway. Maybe this was a marketing move to give more attention to Dawn since Jessi is well known. I love this song though, hope the best for him and the best always for Hyuna.

I agree about the ending.... but i eventually ended up listening to this song so much because the chorus is so catchy that I had to play it over and over and eventually my feelings changed about the ending. Although they could’ve gone HARDER, I still needed up loving the song.

I felt kind of the same way! And to those saying " Jessi didn't go as hard because she wanted Dawn to shine" - this could've been the case NGL but if I'm being honest - Jessi could've gone just as hard as she usually does with a less turn around beat and it wouldn't have taken out of Dawn's part/light at ALL - because comeon, ya boi came through with the swagger, he's UNIQUE af, dance moves and killer looks ( and ofc its his MV) - there's no way jessi couldve actually OUTDO that but i guess if anything her own swagger could've ADDED on to it - making it a greater song imo But that's just an imo ! I still love me some Jessi , and with a few listens Im starting to rlly enjoy this song :]

I'm laughing at how you when you paused it to explain how you didn't like the beat switch with jessi and dawn's facial expression is like "really bih" LOL honestly i really appreciated your reaction this, I respect everything you had to say. I personally like jess feature, i'm happy she did something subtle so Dawn could have his shine. And when you said the switch up made him saying Dawndididawn made it sound more Loose it actually makes sense to his personality if you research more about him. That "loose" switch up has always been him in general. He's weird, but in a cool way lol :) i hope to see more from you and Dawn and Jessi in the future though!
