This game is so different from DoW3. I like them both, but DoW2 feels more tactical.

I'm curious about what other people think - but doesn't DoW2 feel like it has better graphics than DoW3 at times? I just love the animations so very much here. Perhaps it's bias, but damn DoW2 has aged well. I do wonder why we couldn't have just made a mod that doubled unit sizes and spaced out maps a bit - this would have felt like a happy compromise with DoW1 (Which I also loved). Ah well, maybe I'll come around to DoW3 eventually. I just love the material so much it's hard not to give it a second look when some quality expansions come out (ala winter assault/dark crusade). /rant

It's the "cartoony" thing that has been criticized already. there is no sense of weight or inertia in DoW III. Plus all the ultra contrasted colors and visual effects out the ass clash with W40k's "grimdark" and gritty background.

The chaos nuke just seems so so so SO much stronger than IG ones. You can wipe an entire army in half a second with almost no chance for escape.

Hey guys, I was a big time DoW 1 player and I've been watching Indrid Casts for years. Life has been too busy to get into DoW2, but I have a good grasp on it thanks to this channel. My question is- How do seasoned players feel about DoW 3 vs DoW 2 'elite mod'? I need a new RTS in my life and SC2 doesn't cut it.

Dozerboy 1010 Can't say too much about dow 3 at this point but at the moment dow 2 elite seems better. Dow 3 seems to be suffering from forced playstyle which I don't like at all. If you're considering dow3, wait a couple of weeks to see how it turns out.

I love elite mod but the sad truth is that it is getting quite dead, especially if you play in the evening in North America. It can be quite hard to get a game going. :(

Dow3 is basically dow2 with statecraft style of animation and play, to be honest they should of remade Dow 1 for this generation truly a gem in the rts genre

If you dont shut down chaos early and they retain their units, they become really strong. The units themselves arent soo strong but they have all the cheese to work with (abyss, plague cloud, let the galaxy burn, darkfire....)

Hello Which is more active with multiplayer. Dawn of war 2 or dawn of war 2 retribution? Also the elite mod works for both of them?

Elite Mod only works for Retribution. Retribution is what everyone plays multiplayer. You only need the other DoW2 games if you want to play their campaigns.

honeken is one of my good friends and he is a decent IG player actually (it is his main race) . he just had a bad game in a game that was castable which can happen . I mean a few games ago in Chaos v Nids,I was rekt as nids myself . and we did these games for hours upon hours which is very hard to keep up . but I think he could have conrolled it better if he would ve gone 2x HWT ,even 2x autocanons would be great . IG tanks going down was very painful to watch though,and also chaos have very good ways of dealing with IG

I threw the game because I had too much lag to move my units! In T3 the best I could do was suicide lemans. Dunno why Rostam sent this one in!

I think it took me over 300 hours to organize,watch and catergorize the sometimes "unbalanced" faction wars . out of 10 games between IG and Chaos for example (they were all less than 20 min) . this one was the longest one .

Because the tank commander wanted to hit them with his sword. A good old IG tactic.

i think ig should have got more hwt in the eariy-mid game to stop csm and cl just stomping on them some lascannons to kill the dn and the predators instead of a melta st also more guards with plasmas and seeing bb not being protected drives me up the wall, such a stupid mistake and indrid, what dp you think of the covers build by gm? why no one ever builds it? i think it would be very useful in the firefights in the east

Any tank is a waste of resources when you're playing at 5 apm. Russes are still the most durable and adaptable tank in the game imo.

No. Lemans r still good. Baneblade is useless tho. Slow, less powerfull etc. All these downgrades in 2.6 made this thing cheaper but also so useless... Lemans seem bad cos u cant go so close with them, insane hit points but no more dmg resistance which means they actually can be destroyed now. BTW. always fun to drive ur leman into Abyss, right? Game of throws.
