I think they have a different model of Hotshot rather then the Lucius, could be wrong but I have never really looked at a Stormtrooper up close. However it might not even be a Hotshot since I cannot find anything stating that Inquisitorial Stormtroopers are armed with one despite the majority of their equivalents (Cadian Kasrkins, Krieg Grenadiers and Tempestus Scions) all using Hotshots the only other non-PDF one that does not is the Catachan Devils.

Daemon Hunters are not exactly weak, just most of their stuff is specifically useful against Daemons and ONLY Daemons, and there is only one faction that only has Daemon units. But they do perform better in team games, not to a massive extent, but I find Tyranids actually make for a very potent ally at every point in the game, Spinegaunts may die in droves but when you have Stormtroopers breaking enemy moral with Flamers and that enemy unit is surrounded by like 200 Spinegaunts it is more or less a guaranteed kill unless your opponents have like 10 frag grenades ready to toss, similar situation with Guard Conscripts since those units and Necron Scarabs just refuse to die since they cost like pocket lint to reinforce and do so almost as fast as your heart can beat. But what I think the Ordo Malleus needs is just early game options, normal Stormtroopers need access to more then just Flamers even if it is just something like a Plasma Gun, they need another early melee unit aside from scholars like Crusaders which the Sisters already have, or even some Death Watch so they have some early Heavy Infantry that can contend with the Non-Daemon threats or just give them earlier access to a basic unit of Grey Knights, a less centralized production, and being able to add even just an Exorcist or Servo Skull/Cherub into the squad like how the Space Marines and most other factions can add multiple leaders into the squad. Like what they have is good, but due to how hyper focused they are, it harms them in the long run, since most factions if they have Daemon units they only have one or two that are unlocked in the late game, and the one faction they hard counter... kinda sucks if you know how to efficiently damage moral since I've seen Daemon units wipe themselves out from having 0 moral like they start fleeing and just pop like popcorn, or in the case of Necrons and Tyranids I pick up multiple very early squad wipes since I just have so many Attack Scarab or Spinegaunt models on the field that the Daemons cannot move at all and they either die from the normal damage or the moral damage, so part of me feels like Daemon Hunters in 1v1s at least, will only ever be as good as Chaos Daemons are or maybe slightly better.
