in UA you really need the right weapons; you can't use weapons with low power output to burn down heavy armoured stuff like space marine armour (heavy armour, or deamon armour), but using anti-heavy/deamon weapons they die quite fast. also defensive structures are really good, as they should be, if pushed hard just built 2 t1 gauss turret, or whichever turret your race has, and you are safe until T2, at T3 built anti-vericle turrets, just 2; and it becomes really hard to harass. as you saw when a full group off immortals got send down to kill 2 missile turrets and 1 tank, they got annihilated in very short time without doing any noteworthy dmg; it's one of the things I like the most about UA; it's that armour and tech and defensive buildings really matters; I am not a fan off the ultimate "I win" weapons; they work kinda like wonders in aoe; where once someone gets it up the game is over. and since there are so much countering a heavily defended position (titans, artillery, motors, immunity, teleports, etc) I would rather have those "ow your entire base is gone, lolz" weapons not included when playing. else I am a big fan off UA, more than other mods bc off these and more ^^ (it also feels like a bigger fight, T1 units are more useful later ingame, resources are more balanced (in other top tier mods; resources can be staged to incredible lvls; in UA it is more units becomes stronger with upgrades, tiers etc. than you simply just built twice as many; so more a fan off more models early, more focus on the right counters, less unit spam later game, and with a clear endgame scenario when titans hit the field; though still with weaponries that can easily kill titans (buildings should just have incredibly high resistance to super weapons and it would be much cooler; clearing off most enemy units with a nuke is nice enough and not an instant game ender, but removing the entire enemy base and all their tech and production is a loss, and even if you can comeback it feels really aggravating :P )

honestly it feels kinda like it makes sense to me. see demon, flesh, stuff without metal, any kind off flames are good. see metal/armour, any kind off explosives or big guns are good. see giant stuff; big tanks etc. need some BIG guns, mounted on something most likely. anything range->send anything melee to occupy, don't let melee on your range protect with melee: kiting forever is a really bad option; as it should be; etc melee unit upgrades; for units that need to close distance or keep distance; get teleport or auto long jumps to engage, disengage etc. range unit upgrades; gets anti-specialized weaponry->much higher dps to take out something normal lasgun firepower isn't a threat too. etc. tyranids eat their victims, gaining x10+ on their EHP when maxed, making even small tyranids a mean sticky thing to get off you. necrons has endless resurrect and extremely low CD constant teleporting. sisters got immortal time based units and Angels, how awesome is that ;P etc. it all just seems kinda self-explanatory to me; which I really like ^^

++ also, from where you can upgrade your cultists to renegades? So its like in UI mod.. somwhere hiden patch for UA?

The renegades are a T1 Chaos Temple unit for chaos. The upgrade thing is from unification.

@@Mr4ponk Sorry, I may have been too unclear. In Ultimate Apocalypse the Rengeades are a T1 Unit recruited in the Chaos Temple. They do not replace the Cultists. In Unification there is a Upgrade which changes Cultists into Renegades.
