the problem was its health regen so they were unable to deal enuf damage to it to offset it. I think if they had more high tear units it would have been much more manageable but most of their damage was being done my turrets.

It's pretty much an endgame unit like the demons have Prince Argon. The point is to not let the tyranids get that far I guess.

Tyranids grew too much and the imperium team focused too much in defense and just forgot doing offensive moves

Absolutely. And the imperial guard could have easily turned that around too: one of my favorite strategies is the "false defense" where I make it look like I'm building outposts and just turtling.... until I can see a good half of the map and the artillery starts to fall >:)

watching this, i thought no way the imperium can lose. its 2 vs 1 essentially but...by half way. my thought was "if this was 2v2 imperium would be long since dead and by the time that siege monolith went in, i was just in utter amazement at how dominant the tyranids and necrons were. impressive

@@Nyxchademi here and you can't kill it as many factions but you can just kill Tyranids instead. For example ig has warlord titan that could have killed my base. I was the only one tier 5. Space marine could try chapter master with relic blade

Is the swarmlord bugged? It took virtually no damage with an entire army shooting it.

No it's a tier 5 unit. In UA most tier V units are considered win units that are almost impossible to beat.

I would say think of the swarmlord as equivalent of imperator titan or angron

@@hamadalduaij1572 I'd say it's more of a warlord titan equivalent. Angron probably stomps it barely taking any damage himself and imperator needs special settings to even build.

Don't know, am I right, but it seems like against such units as Swarm lord, Angron etc it is better to use mass infantry rather than big stuff. For example, swarm lord is type "commander" which means it is wery resistant to anti tank weapons So i belive, unapgraded turrets dealt more damage to him than plasma turrets (their aoe is irrelevant here Guess, an infantry spam, from multiple barracks,+ heavy veapons team with bolters) would do better in this situation Also some mass aircraft with anti infantry weapons could be a thing

Tyranid player looked a little...uninspired and restricted? I mean if we're going for a theme here...might as well do whatever you can to just swarm the hell outta of the the IG/SM players. Constantly launch waves of termagaunts/hormagaunts. Jump Gargoyles everywhere. Have biovores launching spores all over the place. Etc etc. There's many ways to make a thematic tyranid invasion fun imho.

The overpowered Swarmlord made the game very boring. Could have razed the whole map/enemies in a few minutes. UA needs some better balancing IMHO 🤔

@@y8enjoyer Personally, CM is my favorite Mod ...for now 😅 But UM is a very close 2nd. UA crashes more than the other mods (on my workstation) and is to much rushing the tech ladder to get overpowered units IMHO. But I'm not a good nor knowledgeable player. To each their own 🤗

@@continuumsanctum869 Rushing? I thought that teching i both mods are slow as hell. UA for me is outdated, it sometimes shows purpe squares instead of unit icons (nids), or purple cubes instead of units (saw that on UA tournament with SM terminators). It's crashes are also "outdated", like pop-up windows about file error or something like this? But UA also has some interesting parts like units, who behave differently (capitol imperialis moves in UA, while in CM it is a t3 turret) or pre installed visual effects for shooting (as I understand for CM you need to install this mods independently). Sorry for a sudden mini-review, but there is not much people to talk about all this. Btw, I'm playing Titanium wars now, lol

@@y8enjoyer For me Crucible feels more balanced, because lvl 1 & 2 units later on have merit still through specialization & upgrades. Didn't had to install anything extra than the mod file 💾 itself

@@continuumsanctum869 UA has different visuals for shooting and CM don't. Those effects aren't necessary, but UA has them pre-installled (you can check it: SM bolters shooting big bright bullets and necron gauss weapons are shooting green rays instead of green lightnings)
