Khalid Khan belonged to Pathan family from Bhopal. In 1968 He beat Bhopal's Famous wrestler Ram Dayal when he was just 18 year old. In 1970 Khalid came to Bombay and associated himself with Gangster Basu Dada. After Basu Dada, He worked with Dawood Ibrahim and became his mentor.
S. Hussain Zaidi is a famous crime reporter. He has written "Dongari to Dubai" a bestselling book on Mumbai Mafia. In his new book 'Dawood's Mentor' is a biographical sketch of Khalif Pehalwan.

Dongri to Dubai is Thrilling book and far far better. Bollywood made movie on this book "shootout at wadala" which is really 3rd class, hopeless movie. Must read book to get real thrill!

One can clearly make out that this person is well read. Inspite of being a Muslim he knows Mahabhart... I have very good muslims friends but none has read Mahabarta or has any knowledge about it..
