All Dawson would have been thinking is "This guy kidnapped my daughter and I want him to suffer", he was not thinking of the consequences of his actions, and even though we can all see and totally get why he did what he did, his actions WILL have consequences. It can be hard to ignore your baser instincts, especially when it comes to avenging those you love. Also, this guy may have been their only lead to finding his daughter, but there was no way he would have told them where she was. You could tell, he was the sort of person who loved to see people suffer, and would rather die than tell Antonio where his daughter was.

You know it’s bad when Hank Voight - a man who routinely tortures suspects and has covered up police illegality on more than one occasion - is, like, “Whoa, Dawson, steady on, mate.”

I remember this episode, yes Antonio was using, but his parental instinct kicked in and then well the guy who disrespected Antonio's daughter payed for it

Not going to lie, I'm disturbed by how many people say that he did the right thing. Don't get me wrong; this scumbag deserved to be locked up in a cell, and have the key thrown away. But killing the criminal out of revenge isn't right. If we excuse his actions as justified, what prevents others from killing those they think committed crimes? How long would it take before someone takes an innocent life, based on false information? Justifying Antonio's actions opens the door to situations like that happening.
